I finally pulled the trigger on this beast of an amp! And it does not disappoint. Living off channel 3 for the last day or so and could not be any happier. This amp is the real deal for rock and metal ;)

Here is a quick test recording with a Suhr Reactive Load and a Celestion IR:

Also picked up a new pedal... this thing is basically the polar opposite of the Butterslax lol. It is a HM2 clone and is the signature pedal for the band NAILS from Dunwich Amps called Tyrant. It was a total impulse buy... sort of like the Fortin 33, I was online and saw a post, limited run, available now and thats all it took lol. I like it though.. its like having an instant Celtic Frost mode in a pedal with about 100 chainsaws thrown in

Congrats! In regards to the reactive load, what exactly do you use for an interface? I would love to be able to play my butterslax late at night

I'm using an older interface, a Roland Quad Capture - https://www.amazon.com/Roland-QuadCapture-Audio-Interface/dp/B0054IKKXA. Works great, I use it with Windows 10 and Reaper with no problems. Roland is on the verge of releasing a new interface called Roland Rubix which I may upgrade to. Suppose to be released soon, they are for sale already in Japan.

Otherwise I go Guitar -> Butterslax -> Suhr RL -> Roland interface -> Reaper -> NadIR vst + IR's. It's nice to be able to play and record at night without pissing off the neighbors ;)

Nah just an Alice in Chains inspired riff I made up that always seems to pop up when I play drop d ;)

Man congrats on acquiring one of the best damn amps I have ever had the pleasure to play... TWICE! All 3 channels are killer.

How do channels 2 and 3 compare? Just a gain thing?
Channel 3 is voice pretty similar, but more low-end chunk and a bit more aggressive definitely about a third more gain.

Woohooo! Enjoy it bro!
Love my Butterslax, I almost thought about selling mine, but soooo glad I didn't.
It's such a beast, the clips sounds nice a meaty

Thanks man, now that I got it I wish I didn't wait so long... It is so worth being 100% happy with your amp without pedals n'stuff ;)

So Starman22 you in or from Hawaii too? You faka! *shaka*

Fuck that sounded awesome!
Thanks man... I haven't even gotten a chance to actually tweak anything yet. The day I got the amp was the first day of Volleyball season for my oldest  So my free time is gonna be whacked for another month or so... good thing for the Suhr RL and IRs for late night jamming.

To me, channel 2 sounds like a bad ass hot rodded Marshall, and channel 3 sounds like if Channel 2 was boosted with a thick sounding bottom end... There is Thump knob on it too that I have maxed out, sounds so thick and heavy with it... now I want the matching cab with the 2x15's and 2x12's ;)

Thanks man, as you know you and your vids making the walls literally shake were huge in my decision of wanting one even more hahah

Dude that sounds thick! I am lime green Jell-o of your amp. I am seriously having a hard time deciding if I should save and buy the Slax or sell a couple amps to fund it.

I tracked a Mastodon song for a full mix clip using some Redback loaded Zilla cabs in the Two Notes Studio. I know Celestion recently released a Redback set. I'd suggest giving those a go. Sounded great IMHO.

I didn't hear about the Redbacks release, thanks gonna go grab them now! As for getting the amp, for me I've been tone chasing and buying other high gain amps for the last year or so but just wasn't getting the results I was hoping for... one day the wife and I were talking about things we wouldn't mine having and I showed her the price and was shocked when she told me "well if you get rid of this and that you can do whatever you want" lol... for some reason I thought the price tag would flip her out but man I was wrong... definitely married a keeper ;) So yeah, get the amp dood!

Rajah. I met you at Dans once when you was demoing the Runts when they first came in. Youfaka.
