NGD Gibson LP 68 custom

Killer axe! I loved the '68 reissue I had. Gibson does those 68's right. Unfortunately, I had to sell it years ago to help fund a move. That's one I definitely miss.
I will never sell this guitar again. Gibson raising their price so much thesedays. So, I had to pull the trigger before they raise the price to 10k lol

I don't blame you at all. It makes me want to vomit thinking about what I bought and sold it for compared to now 🤢 🤮 😂. Definitely should have let something else go at the time.

Edit: Oh and to make it worse, I had it set up by one of the local techs by me before shipping it. I can still remember when dude said, "I don't think you should sell this one." Ugh... 😂

Hell yeah man, beautiful guitar!

I picked up one of these not too long ago as well. No weight relief chambers, neck profile is just a hair slimmer than a 50's baseball bat neck (about 80% of the way towards a 50's neck from a 60's neck), shallower headstock angle for better tuning stability, ABR-1 bridge which imo is fantastic for the guitar's resonance. It's my favorite Les Paul. Totally love it. Congrats!
I think a lot of the pre-2013 ones are basically 57 with a maple cap instead of an actual 68 reissue. They started to make them more period-correct from 13/14 onwards. I got a 2010 and I'm still GASing for a 2018 50th anni reissue.

My own taste would be the '54 Black Beauty, but yeah a black LPC is the equivalent to a bomb ass brunette in her little black dress and fuck me pumps.
Yeah I definitely like my BBR5 more than the 68.

Yeah, mine from the 2000s has a big neck and the normal 17 degree headstock. The newer one has a much slimmer neck and the 14 degree headstock.

Congrats!
Love the LP Custom, especially the 70's / "modern" version introduced end 60's (maple cap body); some of the most versatile & best rock guitars ever IMHO.

I had one of the 68 Custom VOS here a few years ago. Price was around 4.5K€. Where the normal Les Paul Custom was 3445.- back then. But i didn't keep neither of these. Wouldn't have hurt though ;)
