NGD Gone Bad - Unwanted Chambering

I ordered a used '68 LPC Reissue off reverb because the weight was really nice - just below 8lbs. I confirmed with the seller (a major national dealer) that it was not chambered. It arrives. It's chambered.

I tried it out a bit and it's nice clean to medium gain but craps out high gain. That's pretty much the general consensus on these isn't it? Back it goes

My Ibanez is cut, routed, hacked.. Fenders are hacked to shit and covered with a Pickguard but somehow are still legendary..

Chances are the difference in sound are negligible to the listener..

I have a 68 LPC Reissue. It is a solid body guitar with no chambering or weight relief. It sounds incredible under high gain. Actually it might be one of the best sounding LP’s for high gain I’ve played.

I’d return it and tell whoever sold it to you that it might not actually be a 68 LPC Reissue.

My main Anderson is a hollow cobra. It sounds incredible for anything. Sent my previous long time favorite 76 LPC triple pickup down the road. I also have a solid Cobra too, the hollow is still my favorite.

So the guitar craps out at high gain because it’s got a chambered body? That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Feel & sound are highly subjective so no real point in arguing on what Rackman is sharing on that IMHO.
I’m not a Custom Shop expert but as @TheGreatGreen said I don’t recall 68 Reissue LP model ever being chambered, sounds like it’s another model; what is the serial number?
