well, I don't know what is is about this tortured custom shop but as soon as I saw it on ebay I wanted it. Im not much of a fan of white guitars but it just looked so cool. Didn't meet the guys reserve but he came back through ebay channels with a second chance offer and I took it.

I can't wait for it to get here, I asked him if he could send it 2 day so it could get here before the weekend,still waiting to see what he is going to do. If the neck is the same original san dimas shape as my custom shop,which I think it is, its going to be a keeper.

so, it will be here tomorrow. My payment didn't clear until wednesday night(added a new card to paypal) so I wasn't expecting it until next week. Get an email from my upsmychoice saying I have a package coming overnight, guy went above and beyond and shipped overnight! He used his company, Grip pod systems so I got curious and googled it. Seems the guy is a legit multi millionaire. Pretty cool and awesome customer service right there, more pics tomorrow

She arrived in one piece, seller was awesome like I said. He didn't have to overnight it to me, I just asked him if he could try to 2 day it to get it to me by friday but because my payment cleared late wednesday night I was expecting it next week. He definitely went above and beyond the typical ebayer and overnighted it. He advertised it as never been played and I believe him, you know when you pick up a guitar and you're the first person to plug a cable into it, it has that super tight feeling? Feels like this one was never plugged in.

Initial impressions, The relic job is incredible. I've been fascinated with relics since I first aw an aged by murphy les paul but never thought I'd buy a relic. They have simulated everything you can think of that an 80's beat to hell metal monster should have, but built with modern day custom shop quality(weird to think of with a relic lol) A lot of people have the argument,well just buy a new guitar and do it yourself. While that is possible,when you buy and flip many guitars you are always thinking about resale. You take a new guitar and relic it yourself you have destroyed the value no matter what. The cool thing with a custom shop is the fact that it will hold a nice resale value(although I don't think this one is going anywhere)

Gave it a quick setup and fired up the Friedman and she smokes! The neck feels better than my other custom shop and dare I say it, the best feeling neck Ive ever laid my hands on. It has a nice beefy tone,more focused than the blue/green. I sent an email to the custom shop to find out what kind of wood the body is and what the pup is because it sounds amazing.
