So I spent 2 weeks in Japan and once again I visited the Ochanomizu guitar district and was blow away the volume of guitars and effects. This time I wasn't planning on purchasing anything, but its easier said then done so remember guys ask for forgiveness not permission. Anyways I was walking around and noticed this bad ass EBMM Axis EX model, I couldn't resist myself they wanted $108000 yen and after playing it for a few minutes I offered $90000 ($817) and walked out with it. I have to say I LOVE this axis, I have a 2012 model and this one is just as nice, the neck is way thicker than the USA axis which I love, it has all original hardware and just a bit of buckle rash on the back, other than that its perfect, no fret wear, bridge has no corrosion and this thing just plays and sounds like a dream.

Congrats! Man I'd love to go guitar shopping there.

I've been to Japan many times, shopped their guitar stores, and brought a few things home. I love Japan. Edwards, Schecter, ESP, lots of excellent stuff to buy.... in terms of guitars and effects. You cannot find good deals on amps there though.

Sweet!! I absolutely love Japans music stores. Lived there 10 years. Bought all kinds of cool stuff.
Bought a EBMM EVH guitar there too.

Can you get me an Akira Takisaki Killer Prime model ?

Now THAT's a cool guitar store!

Great looking quilt top Axis too! And they kept the EVH toggle location in Japan only?? Enjoy!

I would LOVE the Killer Prime Blue Flame with the blue LEDs in the fretboard !!!

Sold them all of thru the year s on eBay.

Holy shit, 11 Killer guitars? I've always wanted one.

I spent 4 years there in the 90's, loved checking out the stores, so much stuff.

More pics please :)

Yea i wish I took more pics than i did, honestly it was kinda hard to because the places are tight and some of them didnt like me taking pics. All I can say is that Japan is THE PLACE to buy guitars. In one block you will find almost any guitar that you can think of, I wish I took a pic of the store that had like 100 Andersons on the wall, it was insane!! The other very cool thing is that all guitars are set up for you, its not like in GC where you pick up a guitar and its out of tune and action sucks. Almost any guitar you ask to play is first checked by the staff to make sure that it plays perfectly, the customer service is amazing and they are real nice about it and if its not right they fix it right there for you on the spot. Only thing I would suggest when buying there is to make sure that the airlines are ok with you bringing it on board, I asked fist and they told me that the guitar was too big. They said if there isnt enough room I would have to check it at the gate. I flew ANA and the guitar barely fit into the overhead bin of the 787 Boeing, I asked if they could put it in the coat closet and they were very nice about it, she even covered it in a blanket so that I wouldn't get damaged.

I would go crazy there! So much to look at and try! Congrats on the new axe!

Sorry, missed the 'Killer Prime' part. Oh well, this is still a bad ass axe and from what I gather was only available in Japan.
