Picked this up yesterday - it’s a 2001 Jeff Beck Strat in Vintage White.

I had a really nice CS Strat a few years back in the same colour. It looked great, played great and felt great, but a single coil bridge pickup never worked for me. I ended up part exchanging it for something else, but I’ve always missed it and liked the idea of getting a HSS strat in the same colour to replace it. Also, for some reason I’ve always liked the look of Lace Sensors on a Strat….

This was traded into a shop the other day, so when it popped up on their website I stuck down a deposit. It looks brand new - not a single mark on it. To me that could be a worrying sign - maybe it’s a dog - so I drove to the shop yesterday to give it a go. Fortunately it was well worth the 6+ hour return drive because it plays and sound great… Plus it looks neat in the rack with the Explorer.

For anyone wondering, I do have the term arm (and all the case candy), just haven’t installed it.

Biggest neck known to exist! Loved them but wow its a big neck, congrats!!

Ha ha - yeah, it definitely has some chunk down around the first fret, but overall it felt pretty familiar to me after years of playing Les Pauls. It’s actually slimmer / more comfy / a nicer carve (for me) overall than the 58 Reissue LP and the LP Special I once owned. Those necks started and stayed huge - coupled with the glossy finishes, they were hard work at times. The Strat feels much easier to play by comparison
