Well I bought an older ESP Custom Tuesday, got here yesterday, from Japan I might add. This thing plays KILLER, I can't believe how awesome it is. I believe it to be Ash, but I don't know what pups are in it. The pups sound pretty good in this, but I think I want something a tad hotter in it. Also the frets are definitely not jumbos. They are really short and a tad wider, but I actually really like them, more than jumbos I think actually! The real interesting thing is the neck joint. It's called a cyber-joint and was only done on some custom shops they made. It's neck-through feel with bolt-on construction. Pretty cool and unique IMO. Maybe I'll try those Aldrich's lots of people seem to like. Overall I am VERY happy with it though. Here are some pics...

that thing is AWESOME. I've never seen a guitar like that before...

It almost has a WAshburn Nuno non-reverse headstock on it. Killer body shape too... almost Suhr Modern esque.

Very unique! Id' rock that.

Are you sure that's a real ESP? I've never seen anything like that from them. Body style, headstock, neck-joint. That headstock is totally Washburny, and the decal looks like the kind you can buy online. Looks like it could be a luthier build, and a nice one at that. No offense meant, that's a cool guitar, and if it's ESP, it's a rare piece.

Look for yourself. ESP had two models that had the cyber-joint. The SEC-300CY and the SEC-380CY. These two models were only offered for a year as far as I know, then they stopped making them with the cyber-joint. Other than that it was a custom shop option only.

Whadya mean ok?? Jumbos are tall enough that if you push hard enough you can raise the pitch by about 1/4 or even 1/2. These frets are so short that as soon as you fret it is impossible to push any harder as you'll just be pushing flat against the fretboard. I am correct, aren't I?

ESP doesn't put serial #'s on their Custom Shop guitars? That's a cool guitar, ESP or not.
