The gear gods were smiling upon me yesterday.... Local distributor had a used Rivera RockCrusher Recording on the floor for a little less than 1/2 new price wise. Nothing wrong with it all, pretty much new condition. COULD NOT pass up the opportunity to finally upgrade from the standard RocKCrusher I've been using the past few years.

I have yet to actually trial the Speaker Emulator side. My band mate is going to set me up with a small interface and monitors so I can begin my quest into recording. Once that is setup I'll definitely be posting some clips and my thoughts.

This was literally the last upgrade I wanted to make to my rig. Feel pretty complete and satisfied now. I look forward to using this thing live and going straight to the board instead of micing.

Awesome, been wanting to try one of these for a while.. so are we to assume that the standard version is going to be in the classifieds soon?

I would really like a review from you on this and the difference vs. the basic model. Such as is the graphic EQ really necessary, does it add (or take) away anything if left flat, etc.

I actually put it up on Kijiji late Monday and it was sold the next morning (Tuesday)! Didn't even get to putting it up on the forums haha. Normally never happens that fast....

As far as the Attenuation side, they're the same. Nothing different there. I haven't got to really try out the Line/EQ'd out yet but it doesn't impact the unit at all (as far as I can tell) when using it straight up as an attenuator. Kinda fun having a LED meter showing the output though. MOAR lights!

how is the direct out on this unit? I couldn't find one reasonably priced in Ottawa or shipped to Ottawa so I have ordered a Suhr line out to go between my amp and hotplate so I can record with impulses. The hotplate line out isn't the best that is for sure.
