Found a package in the entry hall this afternoon.

Move it closer to the music room.

Unpack and voila! Friedman BE-412 in the house.

The badge with the cab's specs is a neat touch.

Bow down before the beast.

Coming soon, a comparison with the Bogner Helios 412 cab. Just as soon as the new amps arrive.

What amp are you getting other the MI?

I(from another thread) found that you can snag a blues pro for $80 on reverb. FYI

Shouldn't be needing any more overdrive pedals as the Revelation's clean and low-gain tones are brilliant. Each channel has a low, mid and high-gain mode. With my MIDI foot controller I'll have access to 12 amp channels, so I'll be able to store all 4 clean channels, all 4 mid-gain channels, and all 4 high-gain channels. Each channel responds really well to pickup changes. And each channel has it's own tonal character, which in turn comes through in the various modes. Open the link below and click on the DEMOS tab for some Soundcloud clips of the Revelation's various channels and modes with different guitars:

The goal is to give all my boost/drive pedals the heave-ho. We'll see if it succeeds.

The other amp is a surprise. Clue - It sits firmly in the hot-rodded Marshall ballpark of tones.

:)

I will check it out, but I already knew it was a behemoth and versatile.

I just mentioned the blues pro because I hadn't looked for one in a while and you regretted letting yours go.

TBH I may pick up a second at that price.

Cheers!

Down in the freezer section of the Oz supermarket, mate - sunny ol' Melbourne.

You?

Congrats on the new cab.

Biggest surprised for me is that there are cool people left that still buy new 412s. There is hope. :)

Sweet cab. BTW, that looks like an awesome gym setup you have there too, how about a pic of that! Gyms and guitars, doesn't get any better than that. (besides being 20 again, single, and armed with the knowledge I now possess as a man  )

Ha! I'm in the Sydney metro area. Hey we aren't far behind you guys these days. It's been raining constantly for two days straight up here.

Nice cab. Love straight 4x12s
I prefer angled. But the straight is growing on me.
Cheers Scott.

Yeah sure thing mate. It's nothing fancy. Just the necessities is all.
The mirrors make it look bigger than it actually is.

Oh and the little coloured dumbbells are mine, the rest is my wife's. :D

Still, it's friggin' awesome, man!

LOL Yeah, the local government bought $60 mil's worth of water from the de-sal plant in April 'cause it said, as it does every year, that we were in for a dry spell and "only" had 65% in the dams.

Well, it's rained most days since then. Through winter it seemed like 8 out of every 10 days, so thankfully for you guys it'll never be that bad. You sure could use some rain out-west though. Poor farmers.

Happy new cab day x2.
That’s quite an upgrade from your previous cabs

love it! I always say that a proper environment goes a long way in wanting to work out. I keep telling my wife, next house has a dedicated room for my drums and guitars and a double car garage with half converted to a boxing and weights gym. Right now I share a kettlebell, chin up bar, and some weights with my storage room, laundry room and furnace. Talk about no motivation.

Yeah the deluge was mostly in the South-East along the coast. The critical drought-stricken areas inland didn't receive a drop. Hopefully they get some relief soon.

Heya thanks mate. The Achillies were actually the best 2x12's I'd owned. Even edged out my old Port City 2x12 OS. But I guess once you try a real solid 4x12 everything else pales in comparison. Call me converted. Haha.

Haha absolutely! I hear you man. Before we built our new house my gym shared the kids bedroom. I was constantly banging into cots and beds and cupboards. Had to tiptoe sideways like a crab between the squat-rack and the walls to load weights onto the barbell. Horrible training environment. Always such a drag to get motivated for a session. So I vowed that the new house would have a dedicated gym room. Nowadays I'm comfortably in and out of the gym in 25 minutes. I never miss a beat now as it's so easy to get going.

Nice man. Anxious to hear your review of the two cabs!

I was going to wait for the new amps to arrive so I could post some clips to back it up. But I'll just go ahead with a written comparison for now. New thread incoming!
