There was a Biggest Douche thread so lets have the opposite.

My vote goes to this guy:

To quote a friend, "I just wanna give him a big ol' hug."

Dave Larue, the bass player with Steve Morse. I saw him in a club and bothered him but he chatted with me for 10 minutes. Nice guy.

Scott Hill from Skid Row. He was at a club when i was playing and i talked to him over a beer and he was the nicest down the Earth guy. We spent a few minutes talking about how great Gary Moore is.

Vinnie Moore. Me and a friend bothered him after a show and he was really nice. He even went out of his way and gave us some pics.

The bass player from Extreme. Friendly normal guy, the opposite of douchebag Nuno. :D

And i met Rob Halford once and he was awesome, until i figured out he was trying to suck my cock.

Adrian Belew is one of the nicest guys around. Bought me and Andy Wood tons of drinks at the Hilton bar at NAMM a few months back and just hung with us. Plus he rocks the Skullet which is always top notch.

I'm gonna vote for Dime on this one, even though he's no longer with us. He seemed like he treated everyone with respect and was an all around nice person.

Amen! Adrian was awesome!!!!

Not that I have had many brushes with famous musicians, but I would have to say Les Paul. Saw him play in New York City in the early 90s..I think. In any case walked right up to him before the show and introduced myself and let him know I was a fan. He was so gracious and had a picture taken with me and signed the back of a polaroid my buddy took. Not just a signature but asked my name and made it personal. He was a hell of a player too, I was blown away. Les was the man!

+1 on Paul Gilbert. He has always repled to my e mails. The guys in kings x are extremely down to earth and gracious towards their fans.

Have to start by saying I haven't actually met any of these guys, just my perception of them.

Dimebag
Joe Bonamassa
Randy Rhoads
Mattias Eklundh
James Hetfield (a friend met him at a bar not knowing who he was (duh ), and he was apparently very nice and down to earth.)

Angus Young, have met him several times and he always takes time to talk, pictures. Great guy.

I once met a country singer called Tim Murphy (never made it real big... but hovering around!) at a club in Hollywood.

We were in the bathroom, and both noticed we had exactly the same hat... The rest of the evening was spent pounding Buds and JD Chasers... And singing ole Lynyrd Skynyrd tunes... :D

It was a good night

Doug Aldrich  Super nice guy! Met him a bunch of times and he always takes the time to hang out with his fans. Treated me and my friends like family

Zakk wylde, 3yrs ago me and my family met him before a show and he took pictures with all of us and signed some autographs, then because he thought my son wasn't gonna be able to see very good he then gave us backstage passes and told us to watch the show from the stage.
He kept coming over during the show to see how my kid was doing and brought the kid to the front of the crowd and gave him the microphone and a pep talk for when he gets older.
Really cool dude and we will never forget it.

Brian setzer, super nice guy and loves talking gear.
He was really nice to my wife and kids and took photos with us and gave me a guitar pic.
He also was concerned if I was happy with the quality of my gretsch.

George lynch, I've been a huge fan since I was a kid and when I met him he didn't disappoint, very cool person.
