Seriously, what happened to Zakk Wylde? He was one of my idols growing up and getting into rock n' roll, cause he just seemed like such a great guy and everything and down to earth, but then he seems to have turned into a drunken jackass. also his playing was ...awesome way back when, in the Ozzy albums and his Pride And Glory albums, "Machine Gun Man" still remains as one of my favourite songs.

Seriously, what happened?

GG Allin? Nothing says I love you more than flinging gobs of your shit onto the audience who paid good money to see you.

Seriously tho, she's not a guy, but Jennifer Batten was way cool and kind. I met her during a master class she was hosting in Toronto. She was teaching us how to play flight of the bumble bee with a ping pong delay. mind boggling.

Still = :confused:

i met alexi laiho at unholy alliance a few years back and he was way cool. i was with my friend who loved alexi and was all hoping to meet him cause i had backstage passes for us, and sure enough we are hanging out in one of the rooms and who comes in but alexi with a bottle of jack. my friend happened to be standing right next to were the cups were so alexi comes over and introduces himself to my friend and asks if he could pass the cups and if he wanted a shot. i thought my friend was gonna shit. next thing i know they are chattin it up shot after shot till the rest of the band came in looking for him to go play the set which he let my friend watch from stage so my friend had an awesome night for sure

And i met Rob Halford once and he was awesome, until i figured out he was trying to suck my cock. [/quote]

LMFAO!!!! SCREAMIN'....SCREAMIN' FOR BIG COCK!! LOL!!!

all of priest when ripper was singing were awesome, KK let me play his guitar, I strummed it once and handed it back to him
Sammy Hagar, hell of a nice guy
Michael Wilton, and Geoff Tate, really cool
Warren Demartini
Gary Hoey was geat
Phil Varone
and believe it or not Sebastian Bach was great, he came into are dressing room and bullshitted with us Dobbie and all

My vote is for Dime

I met him twice and he was the most awesome, and TRUE person I've met that had any fame, he took the time to talk shop and was not trying to hurry it along, he fuckin made me a true believer in kindness and the fact he loved his fans more than anything is amazing to me.

Also Lord Worm from Cryptopsy, super awesome dude! KErry King was cool as shit, Jerry only from the misfits was also a riot.

But for me Dime is still the nicest and most genuine person in music!

Cheers!

Yeah I forgot about Gary Hoey, super cool, first time I was star struck.
And he knew it,but an all around cool cat.every year he comes at Christmas
time and jams,my girl and I would go see him, about 2 blocks from our
house.

Wow, Zakk gets mentioned several times in this thread, and in the other, not-so-mr-nice-guy thread

Another one for Zakk Wylde. He was hillarious at the bar and paid us a beer

John Petrucci and Steve Morse. Met both a few times. Always super cool.

Probably kerry king or dallas toler-wade out of people I have met.
I introduced myself to kerry king at the national reptile expo in anaheim and he was really cool, we talked shit for like 30 mins, he was a cool dude, didn't act all hurried.
And toler-wade I saw when i was at warbringer in the whiskey. He was suprised I recognized him, they were in town for a leg of their last tour. He was extremely funny and was making fun of a bunch of the locals.

Not music but I also met the rock and he was a really nice guy too.

Steve Morse was the nicest famous musician I have met. He was actually just about the nicest person I have ever met.

+1 on Steve Morse
Humble, Gracious, and genuinely happy about
making time with a fan.

Steve Vai  He pulled me behind the counter
and asked me where I got my Zappa Tatoo, and told me
he wanted to get the same one. Then he called over Joe
Satriani and showed it to him....they proceded to tell me that
were covering a Zappa tune that night, what a Fantastic night!

Dimebag made me do Blacktooth Shots with him, and I'm
not a drinker. He wasn't taking no for an answer, so I
threw 'em back and had a bunch of laughs with them.

George Lynch was "Mad Cool" he is very down to Earth,
I thought I was shooting the Shit with one of my buddies.
He went on about how much of a Monster player Zakk is,
what he was Rockin' for Amps and asked me what my rig
consisted of. It was a pleasure meeting him,
he didn't care that there were other people waiting to meet him
he said he doesn't get to talk gear with Fans
as much as people would think.

Not sure if it counts, but I met a guy that was the production manager for Machine Head 2 years ago (I don't know if he's still with them) named Allen who was so fucking rad. He was this british dude and he hooked me up with working passes at the Mayhem Fest in '08 andmade a point to call me during the show to come back and hang out backstage. Super nice dude.

Hell yeah juggs the guys from exodus were really cool too. I almost forgot.

+1 on Paul Gilbert. He has always repled to my e mails. The guys in kings x are extremely down to earth and gracious towards their fans.
+1 on King's X. All 3 of 'em... gracious and humble. Imagine that... great musicians writing and recording really cool music, and they're not arrogant a-holes. I didn't know that was possible.
