Oh, and by the way, we Canadians detest Nickelback as well. Well, at least we Canadian men do. The ironic thing about this thread is that Nickelback sounds WAY more American than Canadian! :lol: :LOL:
 
Ok, so they are a bit cheesy, but they write some good party rock tunes, and that goes a long way. The production & sound on their albums (witch they mostly take care of themselves I believe) are some of the best i've heard.
 
Not a fan, but the production and the Recto rock tones kill.

If anyone, blame the U.K. for Def Leopard grandfathering this genre. Not us Canucks!
 
Not a Creed or Nickleback fan but the fact that they are so hated shows that they've reached a level of success most of us would give our right nut for.

Many members of the male species are attracted to Nicklebacks swagger.
 
I like Nickleback a lot more than some of the other new music that is popular. Far from a fan though....
 
Hate all you want, but I actually like Nickleback. They write catchy pop rock tunes with nice guitar tones.
 
dislikes: their lyrics are drivel(but hey, mine might be too, lol), i personally hate their tone, there is no artistry to be found, terrible "solos"

likes: catchy, chads voice is good and sounds "like him", they are one of the best live bands ive ever heard. they sound almost perfect live. there was some backing vocals on tape but as far as i could tell that was it.

theres my analysis/"appreciation"
 
You can marginalize them forever but try and make a record sound that deep and huge and it gives you a new found respect for them. And it's not just Mutt Lange, trust me. Those guys know what the fuck they are doing. They are also seeing the world and making more bread and bangin more insane tail then anyone on this forum...lol
 
I saw them live on tv a while back.

Can't stand the singers voice or the tunes, but the band sounded great. I would never say they suck. They're better than the crap my kids listen to. :doh:

+1...The objective of that band is hit singles and Chad seems to have it down.
 
If the only comments were for actual appreciation, this would be a short thread, but it will probably grow from all the negative comments directed towards Nickleback (well deserved) and probably a couple people defending them (for some reason).
