Nickelback Appreciation Thread....

Not a huge fan of their music but I agree with James. Their albums have amazing production values. The guitars and bass sound huge! Some of the best Recto sounds I have heard.

idk, I saw linkin park (accidentally) and its like nickleback, they sound the EXACT same live as the CD. Just save your money and close your eyes while you listen to the cd!
 
Saw this on an episode of How I met your mother last night. Not as cool as Rush, but I like it better than any Nickleback song I've heard. :lol: :LOL:

Out of all the things to hate on nowadays people here knock a couple of guys with guitars and amps playing rock. I don't get it. I haven't seen a Little Wayne "appreciation" thread. Mob rules I guess.
 
My daughter is 15. She likes them a lot. I took her to their concert in Louisville this year. It was her first official concert. It was a lot of fun. I'm not a fan, but I will say we definitely got our money's worth. One of the best stage show's I've seen. She had a great time. Good father/daughter time.
 
I saw them live and they put on a great show. Yeah, their stuff starts to sound the same after a while but I'll take it over some of the other stuff out there any day.
 
Fuck I'd rather be what they are doing every day instead of what I do everyday.
 
The thread was meant to be taken lightly, but just goes to show how some people, regardless of public opinion, can easily revert to a defensive posture and take some moral high ground on the other side of the fence. Yeah, I would rather have been doing what they're doing. It is just a matter of taste and yes, the mob mentality.

RT is a cliquish crowd and fun to sit back and watch the posturing.

Canada still continues to deliver great musicians though..... :shocked:

I'm not a fan, but for what they do they do it well. The one thing I can say about them is that for some odd reason, and this blows my damn mind, is that all their guitars are in drop C or drop A... let me bold that DROP A.

I Like a few of their songs. Hate or judge all you would like. I've heard much worse from other bands, genres, and touted 80's metal heads. The jokes are funny but most of it gets taken way too serious and gets out of line. Mob mentality of using their eyes instead of their ears - the same way alot of people retube their amps/set them.

3 doors down is another band that is great but does not get much love.

Probably my personal favorite. On a musical standpoint i see nothing wrong with this at all - great chorus, execution, chord progressions, song purpose and structure, etc.
