I hear ya, but I'm to the point where I don't care. I have nothing to hide. They can spy on me all they want. Believe me, there are tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people that would be much more interesting to Amazon and the government/FBI whatever. I mean, bring it.

I'd rather know who is at my front door and yes, there are other ways to do that. I had Samsung outdoor front porch camera for a long time. Now I have Brinks + Ring Doorbell. Actually, right now we are off Ring and have doorbell on Brinks. I forgot.

Yeah, you may not be doing anything illegal but you are needlessly giving information that could be used against you in exchange for convenience. And it’s the principle — we have a right to privacy. Zoo animals and inmates have no right to privacy. It’s about dignity and self respect. I get it though — and we all do it to some degree or another. It’s much easier to ignore when it’s an abstract idea than if you were directly aware of being watched and listened to. The more people that reject it and put up a fuss the harder it will be for them, so don’t give in!

Buddy of mine said he was bitching about tooth brushes to his wife. I don't know what he was bitching about in particular, but he said next time he went on the web, all he saw was tooth brushes. When we went over his house for a BBQ. I brought over 3 tooth brushes. I left one in his guitar case, another in his tool box in his shed and another one inside his grille.

Money making is always first and foremost. After that they can class you in various groups in terms of potential threat level.

To be honest this has been going on for decades. My father did tax work back before the computer age. One of his clients was a tax protester and they already had all kinds of data on him. I was told by a friend back in the day, pre computer, that they saw a list the cops had of everyone they suspected of drug activity with dozens and dozens of names on it in small town USA. They have spies, narcs, snitches, informants, even without a computer.

I'm sure anyone who is on record purchasing weapons or tactical gear is on a special list someplace. Those who are loud about patriotic beliefs are likely higher on that list.

I used to do maintenance for a Homeland Security facility, which oddly enough gave me more access to spaces than many people who worked there. I’d shoot the shit with a lot of the guys and yea, they for sure have lots of lists lol

Man you gotta move out western mass way. My security system is being the poorest person in the neighborhood. If someone had to decide on breaking in to my house with a bunch of kid’s toys in the front yard, or my neighbor’s who has 3 teslas parked behind a gated driveway….

Yea it’s real nice out there. It’s one of those inbetween Berkshire towns where it’s easier to drive into Springfield for stuff than it is Pittsfield.
I’m on the other end where I’d rather go to Albany than Pittsfield. Basically Pittsfield has become a shit hole is what I’m saying

Yeah I never ventured much into Pfield. Mostly Lee. Too many unessential citizens in Pittsfield, which is why it turned into a shit hole.

I was just looking at homes In that area. Saw a home in Ashfield for 379k on 12 acres. Property taxes on it equal out to almost $500 a month!!!!

That's my cue to find a cheaper place to live. I wanted to buy it, not pay rent on it.

The values are crazy, and fake. I sold my last place in '16 for 149k, now z-estimate 493k I paid 90k in 2011. I noticed the buyer I sold to sold it two years ago for 325k. I paid 106k for this place and the estimate around 500k. I had a 400k offer for it in '21.

Mine are more like $250 a month which is still exorbitant IMO.
