Page recorded the Stairway lead and early Zep albums with a Fender Tele ...


In 1969' Joe Walsh contacted Jimmy and told him he needed a LP.

Walsh personally delivered "Thee 59' Burst" his [still] # 1 and sold it to Page for like $1200 bucks, the rest is History ...

Hey charveldan, I knew about the tele, but I didn't know that Joe Walsh gave him that LP. 1200 bucks was a lot back then though.

Very cool...well done! As overplayed as Stairway might be, it still contains the most perfect guitar solo in the history or rock IMO.

When I get asked to play stairway I sometimes play them this version which always makes them look at me like what are you doing? Anyway, enjoy
