So, this is a guitar I sold and at the time of trading it in I knew it was an error lol. Unfortunately due to some psychological disorders I sometimes due things that don't make much sense. I've sold ALOT of guitars,33 I believe, and atleast 10 of them were guitars I had no intention of selling and didn't want to sell even as they were going out, it just happens. This is one of those guitars. I even tried to convince myself after it was gone that it wasn't a good piece and then when it sold in under a week from gc I was super disappointed.

Well, I've been checking ever since it sold and BAM! It showed back up in an Ohio store a few weeks ago. I called them, explained the story and they were nice enough to help me out. The customer who had bought it is one of their regulars and doesn't like like he even played it. Its in exactly the same condition as it left me in, I'm assuming because it didn't get whored out at GC because it wasn't there long enough both times.

Here she is, my ESP original Series Horizon from 2013 from the first year they were made available outside Japan. I can't believe I had let this one go, It really is an amazing guitar and I'm very happy to have it back

Dude never sell that again; that thing has the baddest top I've ever seen on an ESP.

HNOGD!

I am not usually a fan of the ESP stuff but I will say, this one caught my eye. Many congrats on a beauty.

Congrats man. Nothing is better than getting back the one that got away. I got something back a few months ago that I was so glad to get back. It was definitely a good example of what it was and special. So basically I know what you're feelin' hahaha

Well, I decided to keep this to myself until I figured out what I wanted to do but the ESP arrived with a twisted neck. It was a super bummer after the initial joy of having it back wore off(which was quick once the issue was pointed out) I kept the guitar for the last week wondering what to do and weighing out the options. After doing the math out, I spent $3400 when I originally bought it, traded it in for $2200 and then bought it back for $3200 the other week. That would mean I was invested into it at $4400 and the fix wasn't super expensive but at that point I was already into it for way more than comfortable. Through the advice of some friends and my tech I decided to return it. The guy who did the return took the guitar, sighted it, laughed and said "damn, thing looks like an L."
Its really too bad to because it really is a beautiful guitar but I think I made the right choice in returning it. They said it was going to be shipped out to GC's repair center so who knows if it will pop up again

that's too bad man, that's a killer guitar!

Sorry to hear that. I wonder how that could happen. Did I see your TA Angel on Reverb last week?

yea, had it up for a day in a moment of weakness and g.a.s. That TA is amazing though and I immediately killed the ad, I don't want to let go of another killer guitar and Im getting a little tired of chasing. I just picked up a killer Charvel custom shop and I think Im done for a little while, time to put the time into practicing

Good decision. Was it GC who give you $2200 for your ESP?

yea, funny part of the story, My local GC (north attleboro MA) gave me $2200 for it and tagged it at $3299. The guy who bought it in Ohio ended up trading it in a month and a half later to the Ohio store which gave him $2800 and tagged it at $3500. Thats why they couldn't give me a better deal than they did even when I explained to them I was the original owner. I then asked why they hadn't checked their recent used sales for the guitar and why they brought it in for $600 more than my gc gave me and their excuse was it was a new guy who brought it in.

Well, my love affair with this one hasnt ended. I was able to beat the price down to wear I felt comfortable and the math made sense. Went back this weekend to check it out and their was no hump in the neck. Now, I know gas can make problems with guitars appear out of no where so you have reason to return/sell, but I had a few other people when this one was going back that saw the hump so I know it wasnt my imagination. They said all they did was adjust it. It also occured to me that I am technically the original owner that bought it new so if I do have any problems I can just send it to ESP for warranty work. Either way, Ive liked this one from the beginning and its back home
