I scored 2 Amperex NOS testing as new off the bay with the Herleen codes.

Holy Sheepshit Batman these fuggers Rawk.

I had 4 or 5 Amperex already and had NOS NIB Mullards in my amps already but there is a difference.

Yeah, I dig some of the amprex bugle boys I've tried. They really are noticeable compared to others cuz they are brighter if the measure good. They got presence! Spendy suckers...

I checked the sellers other stuff and no other good 12AX7's kinda a one time thing.

I changed my mind three times and bought them anyway, it paid off.

Love those Amperex ecc83 tubes! If you haven't tried them, the RFT's kick ass in Marshalls. Gives you a great crunch and not all that expensive either.

Which Amperex 12AX7s are best in which amps? I have two Plexis, a Silver Jub RI and a JMP 2204. I have NOS GE/Motorolas in the V1 slots of each. But I'd kind of like to try Amperex out too.

I really like Ei's in V1 or Marshall type amps. I like Tungsram in the PI spot as well. That said, I'm still a big fan of the Chinese 8th generations for any spot as well.

I just A/B'd the two and hands down the Ei. The difference was when boosting it.
