Thinking I need to step up and learn about reamping/daw ect...the first piece of gear is a PS2, Suhr or what?

not to suhr (pronounced SIR) ... what was the question :D

Which attenuator is the best. Suhr, two notes, ownhammer...

The Suhr isn't an attenuator. It's a reactive load box that loads your amp down to line level and lets you use impulse responses of speakers. That said, it's a fantastic unit...and the new soon to be release Reactive Load 2 also has the option of hosting impulse responses right in the unit like a Two Notes Torpedo Live or Torpedo Studio. To my ear, the Suhr has the most realistic impedance curve of all of the reactive load boxes. I far prefer it over my old Two Notes Torpedo ReLoad. It may be worth waiting a month or so until that comes out.

Thank you so much for this

I have a Suhr RL and Fryette PS2 and I like the Suhr better, but they are both awesome. The PS2 give more options and routing and is tweakable where the Suhr RL does 1 thing very well.

I saw a YouTube video where P Thorn said when they made the SRL they used Celestion Greenbacks, so I guess that's what your amp sees, an 8ohm Celestion Greenback. I know it sounds damn good.
