Anniversaries alone...no thanks. Nice mids and decent lows but terrible highs.

Absolutely. No matter what amp I throw at those anniversary speakers, they just don't work great on their own. Mix them with V30s, and it's a great combination.

After some extensive playing tonight with other amps 8 I feel that these are less compressed and more crunchy than my V30s
I had one of those 1960HW cabs with those speakers and it was probably my favorite cab ever.

I have the 1960BHW & I love it with my Soldano Avenger.

I have used all the 3 g12h types...

i liked a lot the g12h30 55hz(in a 4x12)
I LOVE the g12h30 75hz (in a 4x12)

What is the Main Difference between these Two?

55hz has bigger low end and it is extremely tight in the low frequencies...unfortunatly there is a slight scoop in the mids that I just could not get boned with...
Highs are also very tight and prominent...it's great for big fat crunchy chords but it's mids are always mellow...i would descibe it as a pretty "slow" speaker...no thrash or fast picking on these speakers...

75hz has less low end...the difference is VERY obvious when you a/b them...but there is no scoop in the mids,it's a great speaker for fast runs...it's more middy than both 55hz and woodier than the annie that had an almost "metallic" flavor...

if the tone you're after matches modern hard rock then 55hz will be nice...for 80's metal, classic metal and thrash 75hz are waaayy better..
also 55hz gives you the best clean+start tones you have ever heard...(I guess the lack of mids makes the difference)

I'm Playing stuff Like Madball, Terror, Agnostic front, Hatebreed, Lionheart, Killingtime, Judge. I'm using a Soldano Avenger Hot Rod Model with a Clean Boost & I have had not problems with Fast Runs.

great to hear that you are happy with your gear...
55hz was not that good with my setup...
I even tried 55hz bottom 75hz top and I still prefered 4 75hz...

I thought about trying the 55hz & 75hz in an X pattern, just for something new to try.

I have 2 of them that are literally unused as I pulled them out of a brand new cab. Let me know if you want them?....have to check what ohms they are.
I need a pair of 8 ohm

Let me take a look......

This is what I settled with as of several weeks in. Perhaps the H30's need more break in time, but I love the combo of H30s on top and V30's on bottom

I would love to try the heritage 75hz 30 watters but at 200 a piece!!! I'll wait a little longer.. The general consensus on the anniversaries is mid scooped.. does that sound accurate to those who have tried them?

Compared to a V30 yes, they don't have that spike. I actually think think they have more grind, which to me is all in the mids. I just thing because they have more lows and high people perceive them as scooped, but you can have more low and highs without loosing mids. I don't see it as something that cannot be compensated for with minimal tweaking of the tone controls.

well youre exactly right about perception.. I'm beginning to learn that my notion of "mids" can differ quite a bit from some folks!
