nut width for chubtone order?

This is exactly what I have going on with my Charvel Nitro Aged San Dimas. I love the wide neck. The factory R5 nut put the strings way too close to the edge. R3 is perfect.

I ordered my white nitro with an R3 nut... the nut is shorter than the nut shelf by a little bit, but it just feels better. I also ordered no rolled edges and did it myself. Charvel over rolls the edges on some nitro aged and with an R5 nut, the high and low E strings fall off the sides of the fretboard.

I bought mine used. I put the R3 on. It does leave a little extra shelf on each side but it’s really minimal. I tried the R5 nut but the strings fell off the edges constantly. Maybe that’s the reason, too far rolled edges. Either way it’s incredible and one of my favorite guitars ever
