The only reason I say "sorry to be negative" is because you've been all negative about me being negative.

And by the away, I say a lot of encouraging and positive things on this board regarding a wide range of topics. I see a pattern here. Do you see it? :D

Wow. It was unfortunate to record that. I have made the same mistake(recording something awful) a few times...lol.

Mmmm cougar in the black Escape t-shirt was hot though. In fact, there were a lot in that video.

Yeah, if I was Journey I'd be much more interested in hot chicks with big tits at my shows that what a bunch of twits on a guitar forum think.

Judging by those video clips, I'd say they're attracting the right ones. Unlike Metallica, who generally attract the "dress as slutty as possible with total disregard to height/weight ratio" crowd.

That singer doesn't sound like he's going to last long. Seems everybody that steps into that spot blows their voice eventually unless they get out early with the exception of Perry who hung in there for years before weakening.

Ah, might be a little too quick to jump to such a conclusion. For all we know, the kid could have a cold.

I just watched Journey's Live in Manila concert last weekend from start to finish, and the kid was on fire. He absolutely nailed everything - no squeaks, no strains and no "pitchiness" whatsoever.

That's cos any bad notes would have been fixed in post

Sure, that's possible. But why such the cynic?

Time will tell but if I were a betting man I'd stick with my gut.

It kinda would have been funny if you busted out with "Fenders suck man, Suhrs and Andersons are so much better"!!!!

Not sure what you guys are expecting tone wise when they setup a make shift stage in the middle of a concrete alley with people everywhere.

And, does anyone in the crowd look like they care what the tone of the guitar sounds like?v   As a band they sounded fine and his leads cut through ok.

What band would release a live dvd and not fix mistakes?

I do think he's a great singer, I'm just stating the obvious

Badass musicians would. I just finished watching and old Yngwie DVD and the new Robben Ford Trio DVD and they both have mistakes all over them. Robben blows and intro on one tune. Laughs it off, looks at the guys and comes in on the next turnaround. Yngwie is busy putting on a show for thousands of people and seeing him many times over the years I believe his response would be "fuck it".

The Blackstars don't cut & sound muddy and compressed, i still can't take the Fillipino guy srsly..

In this youtube above, Neal doesn't seem to sell the amp, just acts like a 1 minute paycheck.

I did not hear anything you did, thought they were fine for a gig wedged between skyscrapers and 75% humidity.

I take back my earlier post, i've supported Journey since the 70's and will continue to do so, Neal is a Virtuoso in every sense of the word, not really into Blackstar though.
