Huh???

His "Tone" has changed with every single release he's ever played on, since 1982!

Different gear/amps/guitars/cabs/tubes/strings/picks/pickups = different "Tone"....

What do you mean, Bro???

I personally think the Under Lock and Key, Back for the Attack, and Wicked Sensation tones seem to be among his more popular gear phases.

George is quite the moving target gearwise.

I almost feel bad for his chasers that follow his gear fads, it must be exhausting keeping track of it all.

i just watched the episode on the website, i didnt think it was as bad as people made it out to be ...... it just sorta seems like he didnt warm up that much

the tones were on the shitty side but whatever he wasnt playing the tonight show, he was on a tiny show that only airs on vh1 classic

having been around George alot, when hes just noodling around isnt gonna blow alot of guys away. but as a song writer and when hes playing in context, hes just as good as ever. I get the privilege to see alot of famous guitar players rehearse at the shop and if i videoed them, u guys wouldn't be that impressed. But when they are playing the stuff they actually write and in rehearsal, u get to appreciate their talent.

that is unless its eddie van halen. even when he was noodling around, it was jaw dropping.

I just wanna know what's with those retarded looking fingerless gloves he's wearing all the time? If he's looking to start a trend, Madonna was doing that 25 years ago.

He's just trying to be like this guy:

george was at my shop for a full day a couple of weeks ago trying out different combination of amps and his playing was unbelievable. No one plays like george and thats why hes george lynch and still touring and making a very good living. Alot of times when u see concert clips or tv performances, the tone is only as good as the soundman.
Very cool...which amps was he digging the most?
