Ok guys, I need new pickups for my HSS Strat.......

I know you're looking for a humbucker in the neck, but don't overlook the Duncan Quarter Pound...it has all the punchiness and sustain of a humbucker, but the clarity of a single coil. Cleans up great, but it will scream if you need it to.

Never understand how guys can think of the JB as low output?

One of my favorite gigging guitars is my HSS Strat with Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge position and Seymour Duncan SSL-1 in the middle and neck positions.

I think I'll probably get an area '58 for the neck....and I'm still undecided on the neck pickup, and that's an important pickup for me. I just want a real liquid sustaining neck pickup, that's thick and bright but not overly piercing on the top end. Has to clean up well too.

Timmons uses a Cruiser Bridge Model in the neck and middle- I was going to suggest a Cruiser Bridge for Neck , maybe something a little lighter in Middle but check Timmons tones on his neck and Middle and see if that's in the ballpark.

Seems to have the clear but liquid sound in the Neck - right ?

Wow, listened to some clips and watched som videos with the Cruisers......that bridge model in the neck position is EXACTLY what I want!

I think I'll go with an Aldrich/Area 'xx/Cruiser (bridge model)

What do you guys think about that?
