Yup, as Scott said I did get nabbed for brokerage. Added like $60 so it isn't the worst thing in the world but it still sucks. The shipping part of the whole Fortin experience has been absolutely painful on my end.

Fees from shipping are a pain in the ass... but atleast you guys are luckier than us in the UK...

I had a Les Paul goldtop shipped to me and i got hit with a fee of £380 pounds ontop of my shipping fees!!! Calculate that into US Dollars and you'll see why i was pissed

Great review. You can leave the bright cap/tech talk for the other nerds on here, but the rest of the review makes it sound like the perfect amp. Especially this part...

The amp is very tight and fast tracking, you can get that Ronnie LeTekkro staccato alt picking sound

...and this is something that is mentioned in every review.

Nothing techie about the bright caps each gain pot has one across it and is effected by the wiper, the more gain the less the bright cap is in the circuit Hence the ton of tone options.

I only used Ronnie in this for my bestest buddy Curt "my manlove for Ronnie is Huge" Chubtone to give him an idea of the tightness Thinking about it now..............Paul Gilbert would fucking own the universe with this amp

Gain sweet spots seem to be around 6 or so. I threw a Digitech Hardwire reverb in the loop and it works great. Nice little pedal.

$1000? For $1000 you could have Jose exhumed and Disney pop in some animatronics and program him to do amp mods again. Jokingly.

But which Jose would I get? Joe Holmes mod Jose or Keiffer Cinderella guitar spin-o-matic mod Jose??

The loop and shipping was half the cost

Hey did you get hit with a crapload for shipping/brokerage?
I won't/can't buy from the USA anymore to ship to Canada, there are just no deals to be had with all the shipping charges.
I bought a little Bad Cat amp from Mike for close to $400, but buy the time I got it shipped to me it ballooned to over $700...just nuts!

I've been lurking alot, but not contributing much (or buying much, for that matter).

Actually, I have been holding off on clips until I get my Cali mod back from Mike. (I have a 50 watter on loan) Im having a few tweaks done to mine that Id like to caption on recordings.

With that said, I can easily say that Mikes mod work is the best that ive every played and Ive played a lot of modded amps.
