OK, what's next?

If everything is moving at the same exact speed, you don’t notice that you are moving. Simple as that. It is easy to test in our everyday lives as I’ve mentioned here. It doesn’t matter if the speed is fast or slow, as long as it’s constant
I would argue that a merry go round proves you wrong. The whole thing spins at a consistent speed. Everyone on it, and everything on it is moving at the same speed yet I can still detect I am in motion and that is just a few mph, not 1000 as in the claims of a spinning blue marble. Even if you put a window around the whole thing, motion would be detected, especially a spinning motion.

That’s actually centrifugal force you’re detecting.

That’s not a vacuum
Listen retard, I know it’s not. But in the analogy, the car is the atmosphere, and if the atmosphere encountered resistance, it’s going to rotate at a different speed than the earth, which I guess it technically does. But you can’t feel it. The reason you don’t detect the movement in the car is because the cars “atmosphere” moves at the same rate as the car.

…the idea is that the space vacuum provides little to no resistance.

Thank you. So why can it be detected on a spinning merry go round at a few miles per hour but not on a ball earth spinning at 1000mph?

The answer is "it's all spinning at the same speed so you can't feel it."

It's a catch 22 because they can make the claim and deny that said claim is detectable.

So you agree with me?

Because “Gravity” dontchya know, the invisible energy force field ?

I’m skeptical.

Go back to my first car analogy. If your friend is driving at a constant 70mph, you can turn sideways in the passenger seat and talk to him with no more effort than if you were turning sideways on the couch to talk to someone. Same is if you were going 20 mph.

Now if you were talking to him and he floored the gas pedal, you would get pushed back in to the seat a bit because the speed is changing.
Same as if he hit the break, you would go forward into the dash.

But when you are cursing at a constant, you don’t feel any of that anymore than if you were still

If you are high enough above a disc where you could see the edge it would appear curved because it is curved at it's edge. It doesn't prove a ball though. It just proves you saw a curved edge.

But when you are cursing at a constant, you don’t feel any of that.

So basically you are saying the cab of the vehicle is acting like the atmosphere would?

I get the idea. I’m not a scientist and you’re CLEARLY not one. There are much more sophisticated critiques. I have seen enough to question what I’ve been told, but not enough to truly believe one way or another. And I don’t really care either, other than it’s a curiosity.

If I ever happen to take a rocket to outer space and see the spinning ball globe with my own eyes, I’ll be sure to report directly back to RT ????

What is this thread about?

Whatever?
The shape of our world.

Because of our limited visual perspective as humans it's not something you can actually determine with 100 percent accuracy. Every available model has problems with it unless you just say that earth is a realm.

I don’t claim to be a scientist, though I do have bachelor’s in plant and soil science. It in no way qualifies me to talk about physics but it has made me aware and respect the scientific method. It’s easy to “blindly follow” as you would put it something when you understand that many others have spent years or decades scrutinizing it to the Nth degree, and have formed conclusions on it.

Well putting men back on the moon in 2025 seems to the the goal so that may change some minds. I’m pumped for that. I wouldn’t let my girls open presents until I watched James Webb take off a few years back lol
