That's not entirely true space boy. Yes, scientists aren't above bias or politics, and studies and statistics can be manipulated or fabricated. I don't believe in a flat earth. I'm agnostic.

The manipulations you mention are not the science, it’s the people.
Take global warming, or climate change, or whatever you want to call it
Science will tell you CO2 traps heat
Science will tell you how much CO2 is in the atmosphere
Science will tell you the temperature of the earth.
Science will tell you how much CO2 a car or factory produces
After that, it’s people putting that information in to a narrative. A popular one is noticing a general rise in the first 3 things around the same time as the rise of the 4th thing, hence man made global warming.
I person who happens to be a scientist may agree with that narrative, but that is not the same as saying “science is pushing global warming”
Science is impartial.
