Did you plug it into the FOOTSWITCH jack by accident

Ran the DSL into the Iconic amp, not the cab.
Yikes. Do they still work?

I think most modern amps can handle running very briefly without a load, although that's never a good situation. I did it a couple of times myself. With an old amp it fried immediately.

Did something similar myself today. A new amp I just bought arrived Friday, but the guy that shipped it forgot the power cord. No biggie, I just grabbed another power cord from another amp to test it out. Meanwhile, on Thursday (one day prior).. I had picked up three amps from my amp tech. So instead of using individual power cords to test each amp, I just used the one cord I had pulled out to test the new purchase and plugged it into the first amp to test.. All good. Unplug the head from the cab, and the power cord and put the next head up there and hook everything up and flip the power switch. Nothing. No lights, no sound.. completely dead. I thought, great something is wrong with the amp. So, I start checking everything. Nope, forgot to plug in the power cord. All is good with the world again.

Two days ago I decided to pull out a boost to run in front of one of my amps, typically just plug straight in most of the time. I plugged the guitar into the output of the pedal and ran the input into the amp haha. Took longer than it should have to realize what I did :doh:I ain’t judging anyone lol.

For clarification. I still haven’t figured it out. Lol

Trying to conclude something isn’t wrong with either amp. The iconic is brand new, couple months Old. The dsl is used from HC but I’m in the 45 day window.

A “push-push” amplifier :). Sounds like the time I plugged a pedal into my amp speaker outs instead of the effect loop. Dark stage…

Do you have an image of the entire back of the iconic? It looks like you have the speaker output of the Marshall plugged into the speaker Output of the iconic.

From what I'm gathering, you're trying to run the DSL head through the Iconic speakers right? And the Iconic is a combo? What you have done, is run the speaker out of the DSL into the OUTPUT of the Iconic. That 1/4" jack you unplugged (circled below) is what's going to your speaker(s) in the combo. If you want to run your DSL head with your iconic speakers, you needed to plug that 1/4" jack that you unplugged from the Iconic into the DSL's speaker out. But, I doubt it would be long enough.
