I have a few 800's and a few modules (Randall and Synergy) and I am telling you guys, a "correct spec" 1st gen Friedman designed Randall Brahma module IS the sound. It is a greasy JMP with all the kerrang and just the right amount of gain. It also stays tight. This was apparently designed around one of Lynch's favorite Marshalls and I keep going back to it. It is incredible at volume. These suffered from a run of incorrect spec Brahma's which had no balls and were garbage. I had one of those. Once I got a correct spec Brahma though, all was clear. If you guys can find one of these, get it and then check with me if it sounds weak and I will tell you what parts are missing or send you a PCB shot to compare. I like it better than the Marshall JMP with zero watt poweramp. The Brahma is tighter. I still think Randall made some incredible modules. The Brahma, Scary,Grail, Super V ( Lynch signature modules) and the original Plexi, Brown, SL+..they were fantastic. Even the Blackface was good when you cranked it.
