I remember 1st starting to play about 1984 or so....
and walking into the local music store in AWE....and seeing this guitar! :inlove:

Never owned one thru the years. Not that its anything "GREAT"....but it really was the ultimate to a 13 year old kid at the time. ;)
I ended up with a Fender Squire Bullet Made in Japan Tabaco burst strat.
I routed it for a Humbucker...painted it like 10 times....learned ALOT on that Squire.
Here is a pic of my 1st guitar. Far cry from the Westone....
Whats your story? :D

Gibson '84 Explorer, Hetfield style.
Fender Mustang in Sonic Blue
Fender Jaguar in Ice Blue Metallic

1964 Fender Mustang, then I went to a C-Series(FAKE) Strat. Used to have a Yamaha transistor amp with a OD1 in front.
Hog heaven.

Ahh shit! forgot to tell my story.

Always wanted a USA JAckson Soloist..............have had many and still have 3. Still my all time fav.

Always wanted an ESP M1 custom........got one this year. Pretty happy with my guitars now but always want more. It's a disease.

You guys thought I was crazy with buying amps?
This isnt SHIT compared to when I was on a Guitar buying/flipping/collecting what ever you want to call it....
had over 400 electrics thru the years....what a ride!
Back in the 90's .....man....getting USA Kramers....Jacksons.....Real San Dimas Charvels for pennies on the dollars.
No one wanted them when grunge "ruled"....

Grab your nuts and scream Pain Killer with that guitar

Yup.....one good dive bomb.......and BAM!!! Out of tune........

Ibanez made something like that,it was my favorite,my girlfriend bought it for me,i had it for a year or so and some FUCK broke into my house and took it,took my BC Rich Ironbird too,AND if that wasn't bad enough, those fucks made eggs and bacon at my house while they were robbing it.True story!

My first "real guitar" was an Electra .. I still have it and it still kicks ass! One of the best guitars I have ever owned and I've had a few.

My first "real" guitar was a Westone Monark that by folks bought me for Xmas in '86. Even back then, I wasn't really thrilled with the shape, but it was a whole lot better than the crappy Harmony from sears that I was playing...so I wasn't about to refuse it.

And yes, I still have it.

I knew a few cats with those WESTONE guitars. That same color, only more star shaped or like the old BC Rich Ironbird. :D

my first guitar was a black harmony guitar. i think the neck was like 1.25" wide at the nut   . it has 2 single coil pickups and a volume and tone control. those cheap bastards couldnt even put a blade or toggle switch on it. i still have it to this day. been thinking of putting it back together but havent got around to it. it went great with my 15w gorilla amp.

My second guitar in the mid 80's was a Westone, natural finish strat wth two humbuckers. I loved that guitar.

First guitar was a B.C. Rich Bich 6. Played that guitar into the ground, then traded it for an RG 760.

My first guitar was a 1962 Gibson SG Jr - I sold it in the early 80's because I was a dumb ass.

With the money, I bought a Gibson Custom Shop Q3000. It had 3 single coils, each with a mini-toggle switch and a Kahler trem. I sold it a couple of years later becasue I was still a dumb ass.

I then bought a Washburn EC-29. I still have that one and have never sold a guitar since. If I want one bad enough to buy it, I keep it. I've posted them before, but pictures of the Washburn attached - it screams 80's Hair Metal and I'll be "ripping" (yeah, well, something like that) some of that at practice tonight!

That Squire Bullet was my first guitar too! Same color. That and a small yamaha POS G5 amp with a blond cab, Paired with an EH Muff Fuzz, I had Tonez for days! LOL.

Mine was a BC Rich Warlock starter pack lol. I was really into Slipknot as a kid and my dad got me the starter pack with the guitar, amp, gig bag, etc. I thought I was so cool w/ that thing, but looking back it played like crap and def not a guitar for when you first start playing cuz you look really stupid in high school playing all the "beginner music."

First real guitar was a wine Red Gibson SG Standard that i saved up the $$ for by washing dishes @ a banquet hall. Nothing like working illegally @ 12 to fund your gear gas!!
