If you flip the amp, you'll easily recoup the difference we're fighting over now, and if you sell the Bogner Shiva + the cab you bought from me at the price you have it listed, you'll recoup much of your costs on that end as well.

Then phone corporate and tell them the verbal quote given from this lady manager was $40 but in the end, the pricetag was $400. An accurate quote needs to be given in any situation and in this case, she screwed up. Quit mincing about who did what and what the amp should be if its $850 - escalate this error to corporate, tell them that the quote was received verbally. The actual cost was 10x the amount. Error on the part of UPS. Not Brad, not the receiver or the shipper. UPS. Once again, if there is any way to prove that the onus did NOT fall on the shipper, then by default the onus rests upon the outlet and the manager's quote given.

I recently sent a 2x12 cab to a customer in California, he inisted on 2 day air, $550.00. Of course, I got a quote beforehand and he agreed to it. $40 more for air? I wish. If a UPS employee had said that to me I wouldn't believe them. Also, never give anyone your account number unless you know them well. They can't do much with it other than use the wrong service which can cost you plenty. I had a company send me a small package of tubes and parts and they decided to overnight it even though I requested ground. Ended up costing me $300.00 instead of $60.00, never did business with them again.

You need to be more assertive with UPS. If you really felt like you were misled and $400 is involved, you need to stand up for what you believe.

1. Brad posts he wants a cabinet.
2. You have a cabinet and offer your cab for a price to Brad.
3. Brad accepts your offer and pays you $$ with the caveat that you ship ground.
4. You package the cab, go to the UPS store with good intentions.
5. UPS tells you they cannot ship ground. They offer another solution.
6. YOU ACCEPT THE ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION OFFERED FROM UPS.
7. Brad is out the $$$ on his account and you have breached the original deal.
8. You do not want to repay/cure the defect in the deal because you feel UPS cheated you.

Therein is your issue. Unfortunately, even with good intentions, you accepted the UPS deal without checking with Brad first. Fight it with UPS. If not, that is your $400 mistake - accept the consequences of the mistake, chalk it up to a lesson learned, and move on with your life.

Look the UPS store isn't owned by UPS. Those are "franchises" privately owned. They can charge what ever they want. Or sya what ever they want. Call 1-800-UPS they will tell you this!!!

You made a mistake and now because of your ignorance it cost the buyer in this case 'Brad"$400. I don't care if it is Brad you messed up. You didn't follow terms of the binding verbal/email contract. Anyone in there right mind knows shipping a 2x12 "2 day Air" is going to be outrages" :doh: :doh: :doh: :doh: :doh:

Now.......Brad will buy your amp that no one else was going to buy for $1250 anyway. Can you say "bad economy" :doh:
to resolve this. I would make things right if it was me. Be the the bigger man and except the action for your $400 mistake.

Then I would ship the amp and not "2 day air" at a real "UPS HUB" and be thankful. Next time grow up and have some common sense about things. :doh:

The seller is at fault. If he couldn't ship it for the agreed upon price, he should have offered you a refund or should have paid the difference. Once in a while when I ship international, I have to pay a little more than the agreed upon price if the item requires it. In either case, he should have contacted you first and let you know there was a problem and discussed solutions with you.

In any case, I'd contact UPS. If You did not authorize that form of shipping they can't charge you for something just because someone ships you something with you're account number.
 
What ever happend with this? Did you get the amp?

I actually bought something in person from sdhupelia and it went smoothly.
 
All finally worked out and the SDhupelia made it right. :thumbsup:
