Thinking about these first 3 because I remember a few people around here wanting these.
1) Cameron Marshall lg/hg mod
Cameron is absolute legend.
I got this amp from Steve k.
Found a couple pictures -
This amp is unreal, it's got so much versatility going from AC/DC, all of the '80s stuff and completely nailing early EVH whatever. It's pretty tight so modern stuff too.
This is the amp I dreamt of as a kid when I was doing stuff in Detroit, when I first started trying to get my amp modded back then in California back in the '80s.
It has the pre and post bright switches, the second gain control on the back, depth, push pull diode clipping and a foot switchable boost.
It has three inputs. One the stock Marshall. The other inputs are the low gain and the high gain channels.
Looks fantastic, believe it or not it comes with a back plate!
Mark not this one sneak through somehow.
When I got it from Steve, I took to Friedman for a once over and he cleaned it up the jacks and the pots whatever. He said that there was a hum going on with it, I was hearing it too, and he knew the position it would be in so he removed a bit of the black like epoxy shit, that rubberized stuff Cameron was putting on his circuits back then before we took he took it up a notch and started using red number 19 in a spray can. Ha.
Dave said that stuff was very easy to remove. He just took a little bit off and swapped out this tiny incidental part that what's causing it. He said Mark fucked up on that one and it has been doing that's right from the beginning.
Well Dave fixed it perfectly and it sounds amazing.
Hell, I love this thing so much I spent a bit of time hunting down some NOS Dakaware Oxford pointer knobs. The ones Mark used to use. Love that look. I had some Mojotone ones on there that were close but you know how it is. He did something to the effects loop as well, not sure what but it sounds killer.
I did a wet dry wet once with the Cameron running my Uberkab with H30 anniversarys, a CL80 and a G12-80 dry. With the wet being the CAA 4x12 with V30s and a stock Uberkab. ran that using my Palmer PDI-03, Fryette 2/50/2 and a Korg DL8000r and this was seriously like the best tone I ever had.
Just unreal, and unreal how ridiculous it is moving and sitting all that gear up on your own, So ain't gonna to do that again.Ha

2) Friedman Naked
This is the black head shell one with the white piping on it. It was done when the dream team was together. Dave was wanting to get all his production done through George Metropoulis and his group over there in Michigan. This one was hand wired by the jedi master himself George Metropoulos. The number one stamp on the side of the amp confirms it. Dave had said this version of the amp was an exact replica of Billy Howerdell's amp down to the transformers even.
I have heard the second gen one, I think, the one with the 70's Marshall head shell.
Both killer but did you sound a bit different though .Love this amp, for me it's like the definitive rhythm tone, perfect master volume, perfect FX loop.
I heard a few Friedman's at the time and definitely preferred this one.
I have it on the Howerdell settings and haven't moved it since. With the Foot switch you got a simple clean channel that's very good. I have no complaints about it at all, it's great.
Someone had ordered a line out on this one. George put the line out jack in one hole of the 4ohm jack output and the potentiometer for it in the other.

3) Custom Audio Amplifiers OD100 SE+ with whomp II
I bought this from a guy on The Gear Page dude hippie tim I think.
thought this was going to be Mark Day's kick ass tone he was getting then. Nope.
Mark had a video up at the time playing the Suhr rack mount SE, the 3 channel deal with a Mesa power amp whatever. It sounded great. He said that the OD100 though he just got sounded even better so I had to have one. What I bought from the Gear Page guy was an SE and no it didn't sound like what I was looking for.
The SE had probably one of the top clean channels I've heard, with the Gower clean I have on an amp I am of his and the Bogner XTC right there too. That's wasnt the main thing I was looking for though. So off to Suhr Guitars in Lake Elsinore it is. Damn, it's a hell of a drive to get there and it better be worth it considering there's gonna be three more of these trips.
Got the SE+ mod with the plexi trannie of course. Chris Justice,I believe, did the work on it.
Now when they say mod about the CAA amps, it's not really a mod in the sense you got someone soldering all over the place on the same tag board whatever. What they did at Suhr is have bunch of completed circuit boards for the various models hanging on the walls around where the girls were wiring the pickups all the different circuit boards for all of the models he was offering. Fully complete and ready to go just pull out the old board swap in the new one. Pretty efficient but that's John efficient, creative, forward thinking and everything he does is top quality. Best of the best. Chris showed me around when I dropped it off.
So that's what he did. Grabbed the SE+ board and hooked it up. Supposedly he did do a couple of extra things to it whatever this sounds great. He also was the one that put the new whomp II in it. Got the amp back 4th and final trip and it was worth every fucking penny my girl spent buying it for me. Very good clean still, the boost channel on the second channel. Well I run the boost on the first channel too, but that boost on the second channel turns into into the SE+ I was hoping for. Exactly sound like Mark Day's he is all kinds of boosts and shit. I think on that channel with the boost it don't need shit. The second channel without the boost is kind of a flubbier Marshall type deal. Well what I had heard was for that find the right boost, overdrive whatever to do you. But it's pretty genius really, John leaving the amp open like that for flexibility and I do use it hear and there without any boost or overdrive too for certain things. That's all the PT100 John only changed really the second channel the third channel remaind very very simililar to the SE+ which is John's ultimate lead tone he came up with. Hey, he was an '80s guy too like us y'know.
So, all of that considered I'm looking for like $2,800. I do have the matching v30 cabinet that sounds and looks so killer with it. I'm thinking like 700 hundred bucks I guess.
Local pickup so yeah, we could talk.
So, am I in the ballpark here on any of these?
I also have a Tyler Burning Water 2k. Pete Skermetta built over there at the time.
