What you're forgetting is that the PS3 came out in Nov. 17, 2006 in America, where as the 360 came out in May 12th, 2005. That's over a year and a half that they've had to work with the programming code and learn how to optimize games for it.
I don't know how you're going to prove it to any of us. I have a basic knowledge of how some programming works, but I have literally zero understanding of video games.
I'm pretty sure that comes from what developers say, and it seems to show. It appears that most games that come out for both run quicker on the 360, and will have things like more full 3D backgrounds, whereas the PS3 version may use 2D.
If I remember correctly, the Playstations have been regarded as the most difficult to develop for for every generation of consoles. Sony just doesn't appear to be too concerned with making it any easier on anyone, for whatever reason.
And while the PS3 did come out later, I believe it was delayed because of manufacturing issues, so it's not like the 360 was necessarily just in developers' hands an entire year earlier.
The first PS3 games to come out were pretty comparable to the average 360 game of the time, whereas most of the original 360 games looked like they could have been on pretty much any console from the previous generation. From the looks of it, being later didn't seem to hurt them much, as the PS3 technically started off stronger.
The question is why games consistently run better on the 360 at the present time.
Man, I don't even know where to start. I'll respond paragraph for paragraph.
Programming video games and programming computer games are essentially the same if you break them down into main categories. You need a programming language with powerful dev tools, testing, etc. etc.
Games that come out quicker are, again, due to the fact that they've been acquainted with the 360 more-so than they have with the PS3. I don't see where you're going with this paragraph.
Now that's just bullshit right there because Sony has admitted they're been paying special attention to video game developers lately in order to create an easier-to-program dev. tools.
I don't see what you mean by this. True, developers had the console in their hands earlier than the release date, but the same was for the 360 so that point = moot.
Hard to respond to your last paragraph because at some points, certain games looked like PS2 games, but at other points, they were way ahead of 360 launch for launch. However, that has nothing to do with what I was trying to say.
