I have to tell ya, Ive done some cool things in my life and experienced alot of joy doing various things but nothing , and I mean nothing can even come close to what Ive experienced being a father. There isnt a day that goes by that this fact isnt proved to me over and over again. If you arent a father, its not something that you will ever understand until you join the parent club. Its a revelation, a certain clarity where you gain this understanding of what its all about. Its an indelible, unbreakable bond and feeling of love that you could never imagine until you actually become a parent. There isnt a thing that I wouldnt happily do or give up to provide for my son and keep him safe

Just thought that Id share!!!

Tomorrow I go to the Kindergarden schools to choose which one for my son....holy crap he is going to be 5 years old soon.

I'll find out probably next year, that's the plan.

Its crazy Danny, I had my doubts, especially becoming a dad at 43. We found out the day after my sister passed away and my head was all over the place. I thought that I liked my life the way that it was and didnt need something to complicate it and all throughout Victoria's pregnancy , I thought " ok, im going to be a dad, yay" but when he finally arrived and I first held him, that was it, it was all over; an instant change in perspective, thought processes and priorities, an instant life altering event for the better

Haven't experienced it yet, still haven't met a better half. I believe it, though

I completely know what you're talking about Kage. When my daughter was born, I was 26. My wife and I were scared sh!itless. We had no idea what to expect or even if we'd be capable of being able to raise a little a little human since we were barely hanging on ourselves! But like you sid, when she was placed in my arms for the first time, any worry went away and I was overwhelmed with so many different feelings that I couldn't even tell what they all were. I just remember feeling love. That was the most powerful feeling. Now, she's just about 13 months old and starting to walk. They always say they grow up fast, but it weels like we just got home from the hospital sometimes. It's totally crazy.

On another note, my wife found a forum called Babycenter. She spends more time on there than I do on Rig-Talk. Kinda drives me nuts, but she says the same about me and Rig-Talk and we've gotten a lot of good in'[fo a

That last bit was my daughter's input. She loves hanging around my laptop and pressing buttons. She already broke both hinges on my MacBook. so now, it just flops around. I've got it on my end table next to the couch with the display held up with an old TV antenna. So goes life with a little one I guess.

Mine is 6 months old. He's awesome....a very good natured baby....always smiling and giggling. The only time he cries is when he's hungry/tired. Plus, he's been sleeping through the night since he was 2.5 months old....which makes Mrs. Badger71 veeeerrrryyy happy since she's a sleep fanatic. He definitely brings the joy out in life.

then they grow up and you find yourself having to call the producers of "intervention"......

...just kidding :D

I have a 37 year old boy, a 26 year old boy, a 24 year old boy, a 32 year old girl and a 22 year old girl. If anyone doesn't want to have children I made up for it with my 5.        By the way the two girls were harder to raise than the three boys put togeather.

My three kids are great (girl 9, soon to be 10, boy just turned 7 and my youngest boy 5)
They are all healthy, smart and doing well in school.

I did the Santa thing again this year and upon entering the house at my Brother-in-law's house, saying
HO HO HO!!! to stun them, my youngest one, supposedly looked at me, turned to his cousin and simply said in a calm manner: "that's my dad".

Sometimes they are a handful and that can be a bit of a problem espcially when there's more than one child.
Heck, it can feel overwhelming at times but the rewards are immense.
For instance, it's the first time I actually understood the concept of unconditional love.

Checking in with a 6 year old boy & an 18 month old girl

NEVER a dull moment

My son turns 23 months on the 12th and its amazing how fast time flies, hes growing like a freak and is going to be one big kid, thats for sure. I kinda miss it when he was real little and not walking yet. I remember saying " I cant wait until hes walking " and now I wish that they stayed little for awhile longer.

Yeah, my son climbs up into my chair to play with my computer all the time. As soon as I get up, hes there playing with the mouse and hammering the keyboard and Thanks to him, to wireless keyboards have bit the dust, Victims of coffee spilled into them. Stuff happens for sure, you just need to think preemptively now!!!!

Kage,
I told ya bro  Nothing like it... My daughter is 24 and is a fabulous person... My son is now 19 and much bigger than I am... The dude is almost 6'7" now and is a far better man than I ever was or will be... I love them both to death and would sacrifice ANYTHING for them still.

Tell Victoria and the little X hello for me please... Hoping you guys had a great Christmas and New Year my friend.
