Revisiting my old projects; which I did with software VSTs,,, this time Ozzy.

Running my Apollo x6 and UAD plugins (which use the HEXA cores); remixed.

So, different mix, different (powered) plugins, but exact same tracks.

"Amp" was an AMT M2. I don't remember what guitar or pickup...

What do you mean by powered plug-in? I used the UA twin with their software and don't remember a 'powered' setting or option. Thanks.

Their plugins use the "HEXA core" chips (6 total in the 6x) to process them.

Versus just software VSTs (using computer processor).

So, you're offloading the processing from your computer to the Apollo unit's chips.

Correct.

Built a new pc (needed one anyways) with Thunderbolt in mind.

Went with ASUS ProArt motherboard.

I don't do MACs and I don't get why so many other people do MACs for DAW.

On THIS we can align.

100% honest - never owned a MAC my entire life.
Never had to use it in work either cause all the serious engineering programs
were/are PC based.
