if you know you know. i had a friend who got a bacterial infection from falling into a mud pit at a show that turned into that. He had to stay in the hospital for 3 days.
Ya it’s definitely not my thing. That’s really sucks though

me and my brother went to see Korn and slipknot at the starlake in PA. I actually threw a little emergency poncho in my pocket. Good thing cause we got swamped. Lost power to the venue and everything was cancelled. Anyway-mudpit...pissed off drunk fans. Stupid fights....people throwing rocks and bottles into the crowd. people are trash sometimes.

I was admittedly cynical about seeing them open for Metallica. Phil isn’t a good human. HOWEVER, once they started playing the SONGS took over and I got into it.
people can change though....he seems to me like he's changed....he's running around barefoot on stage like a dirty hippie now....that's the first thing I asked my little bro...he started laughing and said WTF-I noticed that.....

Me too man, I hate it. As a kid at an amusement park and going on the water ride sucked afterwards. The Sun goes down and you sre in wet jeans with wet shoes and socks and there is that scent of chlorine mixing with funnel cake.

You know it then . Even to miss Pantera reunion how much I hate it

I saw them last weekend with Metallica in Phoenix. I never got to see them in their heyday in the 90s and early 2000s so I didn't have a benchmark for what to expect although I was a huge fan when it was Pantera in all their glory. I went into it with no expectations and they absolutely reignited my love for their music. They were fucking delivering on every song, Phil sang his ass off and had a commanding stage presence that got the crowd fired the fuck up!! Most of the songs were tuned pretty low which sounded a little off-putting initially but fit what they were doing. Zakk put tasteful fills in the songs where appropriate and didn't go overboard with it. Rex and Charlie were tight with the low end and the drums. If you're going into it expecting Pantera, you get most of the way there and get probably the closest thing we will get to Pantera with known musicans that respect the music, the band and carried on the legacy. I would totally go see them again if given the opportunity. And then Metallica played...
absofuckinglutely. my thoughts exactly

I'm happy for everyone who digs the shows. I've seen the classic lineup twice. I was at this show in San Jose in 1999 when they opened for Black Sabbath and the audio is killer.

I used to work in the music industry before I became disabled and we got comp tickets to the show. We had seats behind the stage, but I didn't care. I play guitar but mainly I'm a drummer and I was watching Vinnie tear it up. His drum tech was behind the drumkit headbangin' his ass off to the music. There were very few people seated near us. Kinda weird. Then security told us we had to move because we were too close to Sabbath's pyro. (That's what they told us. Who knows?) So, we had to stand on the floor and enjoy the show. I was standing in front of the mixing board and Rex ran past me. I looked to my right and realized Sharon Osbourne, Dime, Vinnie and Rex were standing next to me. I'll never forgot the huge smile on Dime's face watching Sabbath. Not many people noticed them because there weren't any lights on in the arena except for the stage. Sabbath was leveling the place. Behind the sound board was the light board and Kirk, James and Lars were standing there. (That area was fenced off.) They lived in the Bay Area at the time so seeing them attend shows wasn't surprising. Saw Kirk playing air guitar to Sabbath. I went backstage after that and it was a cool hang. My buddy worked at Gallien-Krueger and had delivered a bass amp to Rex. I don't know if Rex ever used it but he got a free amp that night. LOL
