Holy shit, was that through the clean channel lol? Pat rules. He can never get enough gain it seems. Oh, almost forgot; Divine Saturation
Guess not, but i just asked about the signal chain, because i was wondering about that myself.

Tone sounds like shit, but love pat and his playing

and im sure they will do some good demos when the time comes

Pat also played with Monstrosity in their Millenium era just before joining Cannibal.
That alone puts him way up there skill wise😂
I think it sounds sick, not everyone is gonna dial things the way we do alot of the time.

Haha it uses Alnico 9 magnets.

Not generally a fan of hyper hot pickups. Without any kind of buffer or active circuit, the hotter a pickup is, generally the less articulate and more rolled off the high end is. Even straight into the amp and without a tone knob, a pickup as ridiculously hot as that is going to sound a lot like a half-cocked wah. Neat in a kind of "MORE POWER" way but probably not the best for tone.

I'm 100% in agreement here

This might have been necessary back in the day when amps had no gain? But at least in my experience, which is quite a bit, modern amps have plenty of gain and you can just let the amp do the work

In fact, I think there's severely diminishing returns, ESPECIALLY beyond the 17/18k range

The vast majority of really great guitar tones you hear are low or mid output humbuckers

Maybe this 3 million k output thing will sound good who knows? But that generally isn't my experience at all

I've tried a couple of those ridiculous output guitarmory and BKP style pups and they sounded like shit

I won’t be rushing out to get one but I think it’s cool for it’s intended purpose, presumably to get close to and probably exceed that ultra nasal crunch of the first two Exhorder records from the early 90’s. Kinda sounds as if a BOSS Metalzone was a pickup lol

I dig the chugging. Is there a more "metal" wikipedia page than his?
