Paul Gilbert live, what a fun show

Saw Paul Gilbert live last night at the City Winery in Atlanta. I did the VIP thing for the first time ever and got to sit through soundcheck, meet and greet, gear walk through, etc... He’s such a nice, down to earth guy and made everything fun personal.

The playing was amazing as expected, did a good mix of the new album with several covers. If you get a chance, it’s definitely worth seeing. My wife even enjoyed the show.

Awesome man! When you think of a cool, down to earth incredible player Paul is the man. I'm sure there are others that are truly nice dudes but from the guys I've met he is the guy you'd most want to sit down and have a beer with. Just loves the instrument and he's so effortless and smooth...one of my faves obviously.


Years back in '89 I met him after an early Mr Big show at the Cabooze in Mpls...our drummers girlfriend was a DJ and got us meet n greets....they were all nice guys but I bugged Paul with some questions and he couldn't have been more patient with me lol..

One of the nicest, funnest, most laid back, humble, engaging and goofy (in a good way) guys out there that can fucking shred pretty well anyone to hell.

Guy's a Master, but doesn't act it.

I would love to see him. I have always heard from everyone who has met him that he is a cool guy. I think Jake E Lee would be a cool guy to meet too.

very cool... never met him, but from watching him do demos and stuff...he comes across exactly as described.

Never met these guys either, but have heard Joe Sat is that'a way, as is Brad Gillis

Pissed that I missed him last night in Nashville. Completely forgot about it. Paul's always been on of my favs and the fact that he's a nice, humble guy is just a huge plus. Sheehan even sat in with him last night.
