Seems a little dark for my taste but the bright switch is promising, as well as the low end. I'm interested for sure, can't wait to plug one in.

Yeah I agree and if it matters, everyone besides Dustie kept the knobs around 12 and didn't change it. It has a lot more room to be sculpted to what you want.

sounds alright, Emil Werstler and Tremonti could make almost any amp do metal, those guys are just great. Looks like a solid amp, doubt it would hang with the Herbert or DMoll   - of course the PRS is probably a lot less $$

That thing sounds like it's going to be killer. I'm really digging the low end chunk.

I think the gold script logo is to vintage
IMO they should have changed to
Just a raised chrome mean font
PRS
Also if you have to light it up
Change to blue green purple
Red has been overdone

But the amp itself looks ok

I like how they kept it consistent with the rest of their line in terms of appearance. It also gives it a more broad appeal, even if they're billing it as a "metal" amp. I, for one, wouldn't want an overly "METAL!!!!" amp, because that's not all I play.

I agree.

I'd like to hear how it sounds with the gain at 1/4-1/2. Can it do 80's metal/hard rock? Can it get brown??

Alright, Ill post it since no one else has yet....

Sounds pretty sweet. Pity there's not more of the clean channel demo'd in the vid.

Anyone know how much it is yet?

Sub $2k, supposedly.

Buddy that works there went and checked it out for me today; said it's the baddest PRS amp he's ever played and that he'd be taking it instead of his 15 year guitar come January. Pretty good endorsement.

I agree listening to the clips it does seem very dark, I would love to hear the bright switch engaged and presence cranked up.
I would never judge on internet clips but from the vids and sounds so far its not for me and i could see it getting buried in a mix or in a 2 guitar band with a marshall. 5150 etc

This is really exciting. I hope it takes off for PRS' sake. Having more viable choices in the market is always good for us (although doesn't make it easy to make choices sometimes. ;) )

Sub 2K, huh? Man, they're aiming right for the Engl market aren't they?

You guys are more knowledgable about amp schematics and things like that than I am so I'd like to know what do you think? These guts look like their doing it right or what? All I can tell is its organized looking and colorful! haha

Sounds quite good, wouldn't mind checking one of these out.
