What the hell? As far as I can tell, it's a slightly modified headshell and some gold paint on the front panel, and that's it.
Peavey looks worse and worse every day!

I saw the ad along with the price in the new sweet water catalog yesterday. I couldn't believe the price when I read it. 2 extra grand for a gold face ? That's insane. They've completely lost their minds!

I had seen their Patriot series, and even though cheesy, almost got one because besides Carvin.. they were one of the few who did mostly US ops..

What's funny is these amps are such a steal at the regular price. I've owned three thousand dollar Bogner , Diezel, Friedman amps...and while they all do something very well the Peavey can hang with any one of them as far as high gain goes, shit even the mid gain and cleans aren't bad especially on the 6505+....If you put a different name on them and charged twice the price guys would say how great they are. With that being said I do agree its rediculous to put a gold face plate on and charge 3x the original price it just doesn't make sense and it looks strange.
