The Orange pedal baby is excellent for a SS amp too IME. Paired with a nice preamp it would make a good rig.
Orange always makes decent stuff.
I have had an Orange Tiny Terror in the past and also Orange 1x12 cabinets.

I love my Super Crush 100 but haven't gelled with the Dual Baby. The effects loop doesn't play well with other amps and it is very noisy. I think I would like the Pedal Baby and would use that with a modeler.

The pedal baby had a fairly tube-amp like feel IME thanks to it's class A preamp and A/B power amp section vs the usual Class D SS stuff.

Thanks! Yeah I think I'd like the Pedal Baby more than the Gain Baby or Dual Baby. They are great little amps but some quirky stuff that has made them not feel as great as my Super Crush.

The Super Crush looks like a pretty sweet amp tbh. Similar class A/B etc. I thought about having a pedal baby as a light, compact backup for gigs since I can't fit a 2nd Twin in the bluesmobile unless I take the truck and the truck is 13mpg. I could just run it straight into the speakers of my Twin in case of emergency. Maybe get another harbor freight pelican knock off case to tote it in.

I heard that the Super Crush is basically the pedal baby clean in a box so that is a good thing. I'm thinking about getting a Fractal AM4 and Pedal Baby or Seymour Duncan Powerstage 100, which i owned before, or a Laney FRFR cab.

I have the Laney Supergrace amp pedal and have been enjoying it, especially with boost pedals. It sounds like an amp and loud and basically is my gig backup for now. I can relate to the truck thing. My whole life I never owned a truck and just got a Tacoma around Christmas and big difference in gas guzzling, lol.

an Ironheart rack unit has just popped up for sale near me. Is it still worth getting in 2026?? been looking at the Foundary stuff and was about to get one when this popped up

I am not familiar with the Ironheart Rack Unit, but if it sounds like the Dual Top, but with tubes and it was priced right it would probably be great.

I missed out on it so must have been a very good price. Ended up with the Pedal version of the Dual-top. the LOUD pedal ... it's frikken epic
