I dig those old Peaveys. I actually had to remove a Blue Stripe Classic 60/60 out of my rack (along with the Marshall 9200) just so I could move it by myself lol

I miss the VTM120 I had, should've never sold it. Record us some clips on that Supreme so we can hear how it sounds.

That and the other ampeg (vh140c) amps were pretty much my first 10 years of guitar playing. One of the best SS amps ever. I used to run a BBE sonic maximizer in the loop, that thing sounds heavy as shit. Also is physically heavy as shit. I am always on the lookout for another one.

You can make those Supreme 160s sound like straight up Pantera with no effort. They are brutal sounding amps and punch hard.

I need to grab one of those sonic stomps one of these days and give it a run through my rig. Those are a great unit when used correctly.

I used a rackmount one, the single channel rackmount. It looked goofy as shit sitting on top of the head but I didn't care. I would almost never use that heavy brutal tone now but if I saw one in a pawn shop for $300, I'd grab it. The (newer) Supreme 120s that came out later really aren't terrible either...just didn't have that 160 punch.

Ultra plus and XXX are my main amps
Tough amps to beat for the $$

Best thing about old Peavey amps is you can toss them off the roof and they’ll still work. They’re sterile as fuck. I grew up playing them because it’s all I could afford. I gave my last one away to a broke ass neighborhood kid about 10 years ago. Thing was an early 80s Mark IV and it still worked just fine.

Those old MKIII’s and IV’s are great punk/garage rock bass amps.
