How much time do you guys get from your reverb pedals, or pedals in general?

I picked up a TC Electronic Hall of Fame pedal, and I was eating batteries within a few hours while being OFF.
Got it and installed a brand new battery.
Plugged in and played for about 2 hours.
I shut it off and unplugged the cables
Next day plugged everything back in and the battery was dead.
Ok. Installed another fresh new battery, played for about an hour, shut if off, unplugged, came back about 4 hours later, battery dead.

Experiment:
Installed fresh new battery. Plugged in, played for about 5 minutes, shut off, unplugged, let it sit for about 4 hours, plugged in, battery dead.
I sent it back and they checked it and sent me a new pedal.
Yesterday, new battery, I played for about 2 hours, next day about 2 hours, today battery is dead.
WTF?
The batteries are new and not from the same batch. They are labeled as good through 2018.

I'm using an AC/DC adapter now, but just wondering about how long other people's pedal battery lasts.
My experience is that batteries last for many many hours of use before they go fully dead, and usually they drain slower.
In my Fulltone Fullldrive II pedal I've been using the same battery for like 20 hours of use, and the first battery went slowly with the pedal not sounding so great telling me it was time to change.
I can't see a reverb pedal using more power than a distortion + boost pedal.

IME delay pedals eat batteries in about four hours.
They last in wah pedals for many many hours.

Only 4 hours?
I'm looking at getting a TC Electronics delay too.
If that's all a battery will give, then it's time to invest in a powered board.
I've only got 5 pedals plus a Digi-tech RP255.
I will likely sell the RP and go single effect pedal.
It's just easier to go right to the effect for adjustments, and on/off.

Thanks.

the tc electronic pedals eat batteries within hours from my experience. power supply a must

I haven't used a battery in my pedals in over 15 years. Not even sure why anyone would anymore, just a waste of money.
