Perfect guitar ?

It depends on your definition of perfect...

If you are talking JUST in terms of build quality and the "physical" aspect of any given guitar... then no...regardless of price (in my opinion) absolutely NO guitar is perfect, and that can even be in a literal sense, or because what one person thinks is perfection some other person might find flawed...

Now... if you are referring to perfection on an individual basis... meaning one guitar to one player... then I absolutely believe perfection exists... and I only say this because I believe I own the perfect guitar for me... it's my PRS Custom 22... in a physical sense it's so far from perfect it's not even funny, I bought it with bumps and bruises and have put quite a few on it myself now over the years... however, the guitar is PERFECT for ME... it just fits me like no other guitar, is the exact specs I love, and it is the guitar that I compare all other guitars to...

Now a Custom 22 is no "cheap" guitar by any means... but I also own custom instruments that carry close to double the price tag of the PRS that I don't consider "perfect" for me, even though the craftsmanship may even be much better than the PRS...

So in short... it depends on how you are using the word...

Perfect is what makes one happy. That which makes one eager to play the guitar when ever there is a chance. That which brings joy, and happiness. Perfection is being in the moment.
+100000 on this!!
Owning hundreds of guitars thru the years.....
Mahogany body.......floyd.....maple neck...and the Aldrich bridge pickup....
PERFECT for me and what I want it to do.

I played today a ESP EX (just shredding a few minutes - this is my buddy guitar) and jeeeez ... Looks stunning , plays great , feels great , great setup but WTF ... There are several places on fingerboard that rings different like others ... In 2-3 positions of power chords guitar seemed to be out of tune (despite perfect intonation) ... and other single notes on fretboards sound shorter ...

When i noticed that to my friend he said : "God , I really don't know about that things". Yeah , he bought this guitar 4 years ago ...

But ... axe WAS F****** AMAZING ...

Sounds like it needs a set up, and maybe a fret level.

Any one of these(minus the strat). I am a Les Paul player for life. I have found nothing that compares for me....

Wow , thanks for so much reply ;)

But is there ever possible to achieve a perfect intonation ? Or maybe this is just like stratovarious said ?

No perfect intonation is not possible. Even if it were the frets would have to be different spacing for each string.

yes it can be had but youll have to make it thats what I did with this....for me perfect for you mabye not
