While it’s true that he hasn’t been president in years, he also is currently running for president and he hasn’t been out of the news cycle for more than 5 minutes since he first announced his first run, so again, why is it TDS ? It’s current events.
 
For anyone asking the question why are people obsessed with Trump and experience so much overpowering rage it's because the mainstream media are obsessed with him and have attacked him 24/7 365 for the last 7+ years that's why .

Trump is the only person to give the middle finger to the establishment and mainstream media and not apologize for it . You can't do that without them declaring war on you .

So divided by 2016, in fact, that a lifelong liberal, gun control, prochoice, gad about town, and Studio 54 attending, registered Democrat, Donald John Trump could just march up the middle and call himself "Republican" and destroy the party.

They are all on the side, the side for themselves... the "wealthy elite"... and we are just "sheeple" to them, lie and do/say whatever to get elected.
Real change needs to happen.
