The military suffers the same problem as education, past a certain point the more money dumped into it the more waste and fraud you get with no increased capability.
The Air Force just agreed to buy a whole bunch of these for 40 million each. It's literally a civilian crop duster that sells for 1.4 million off the shelf with about 1 million in avionics/sensors bolted to it. Where's the other 37 odd million go?

The US has been spending 600-800 billion on defense per year for the past 40 years, no one is in the same galaxy. It's a giant slush fund of waste and fraud.
