That was great but I gotta say everyone who slams DLR as a singer, I've never heard a singer do a VH song where I wouldn't rather hear Dave instead. I dig Roth's singing a lot and it's probably because he's not learned in any way so it all comes from instinct and personality, while other more learned singers are still thinking technique, even if it's in the very back of the 'ol peanut. PT just killed it on that one. Guitar tone was nice but could've been brighter, maybe because of the LP or just the recording.

I too really like DLR's voice but Michael Starr/Ralph Saenz sounds awesome whenever he does VH tunes like here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4qww4rrsJM

Not only has Pete nailed the song perfectly, he has the Jeff Beck look down pretty good too. :)

Pete sounded really good on that. He's playing with what I feel is the same amount of gain as the recorded version...

I need to check out the other vids. Pete seems to carry this show from what I have seen so far. Stevens seems to be there as a draw with the name but Pete simply gets the job done. And done well. Great job!

Whatever, they've had 27 years to learn it.

That's irrelevant. Pete was rocking it up right there. Great playing by a great player.

That was great, had me smiling from ear to ear. Pete totally rips it up, an amazing player.

Man that fukn kicked arse! PT...man you can play! I'm going to run through your VH vids.

Yeah, it was a great show. I was there with Kage. They totally rocked all songs. SS specifically gave announced at the beginning of this song that Pete is the VH guy, so this track was all about Pete. I don't know what you really expect SS to do during it at that point, it is a one guitar song. SS pretty much took all the other songs, with Pete backing him and maybe trading one or 2 solos. I think they were both playing Suhr badgers.

They nailed it for sure. Wasn't hot for teacher recorded using a Les Paul? I though I read that somewhere...
Anyway, Pete played great as usual!

I always thought it was Ed's Gibson Flying V, but I could be wrong...
