Hello everybody,

I have some pictures I would like to share of a new guitar I am currently building for the past weeks, this time a 7 string baritone, enjoy!

This is a gorgeous piece of Salvaged Claro Walnut I am using for the top, the body is one piece premium Sapelli Mahogany:

Once the top was glued to the body, then cut out to shape and the sides sanded flush and clean:

Badass. Love these build threads. Looks beautiful, man. You're an artist.

Awesome looking! What's that circle indentation for?

The custom build I did is a two piece sapele solidbody as well with pao ferro board. What a backbreaker. :-) Sounds great though. The sapele tends to hit light fantastic and is super 3D. cool stuff.

That is the recess for the logo, I inlay a high quality polyurethane resin doom sticker... :)

Always amazing work and beautiful wood selection.

I'm impressed that you are able to customize the neck shape and pickup tone to match the player so well.

I would love one of your Tele shaped guitars!

holy shit that wood and finish is SEXY! nice job man!

Oh man I wish I didnt live half way across the planet from you. All your guitars are amazing!

You, sir, never fail to impress. Your guitars are beautiful.

Ever think of churning out a '59 Burst replica ;)

I love your builds man!! the pieces of wood are sexy and the craftsmanship seems incredible !

Wow! That is fantastic!

Great work. Love the rosewood on the neck that you got for it.

Well done!

:)

Wow! this is really good. looks like you do some really clean work. Please post more pictures when it is finished. is this work for someone, or yourself?

Thank you for your kind words, got some more pics :)

This is my new straight-pull 7 string headstock design, this guitar also features a Techtron HPV® nut which is a high performance engineering bearing grade thermoplastic material I discovered last year. Its proprieties are so impressive (self-lubricant, acoustic, abrasion resistance etc.) that I've decided to fit all my instruments with these new nuts. Its distinctive colour also makes for a unique visual statement :)

This guitar also features my very first 7 string pickup mounting rings which I designed. Nobody offers high quality 7 string mounting rings for sale on the market so I got tired of that and decided to create my very own, these are resin cast, exactly like my pickups :)

Still setting up the instrument, more final pics comming soon! :)

Yup, this one is going to Germany :)

That is Pauo Ferro (Morado to be more specific since Pauo Ferro is a generic name) which is actually not a rosewood, it is much more stable than a 'rosewood' and what I like about it is the insane grain! :)

I do not build the pickups, I only created the exterior design (the master template in order to create the mold for the casting). Kent Armstrong, the man himself builds them by hand for me since 1998, I invite the customer to write a message in which he explains the sound he wants from both pickups, I then forward that mail to Kent who then builds the pickups according to what the customer wrote. This is a unique experience which I am proud to be able to offer to my clients, it is like receiving your very own signature pickups :)
