I love the Ernie Ball Luke and Morse models. I am totally satisfied in terms of amps but guitar GAS has been killing me lately. I REALLY want one of those Luke guitars.

That Luke was great.

Likes:
- The oiled neck was freaking awesome with that soft V shape
- The neck single coil tones were killer

Dislikes:
- I didn't care for the bridge humbucker tones (99% of what I use.) May have just been the EMGs?
- I couldn't get mine setup to stay in tune with the bar that well, but I'm pretty sure that can be fixed by someone more knowledgeable than me.

Cool! I played one a couple of times last year and loved how it felt/played. Here are the colors I am looking at:

Carbon Blue

Candy Apple Red

I have a Carbon Blue Petrucci that looks absolutely awesome...

so that's how I'd go!

When I peeled off the tolex, there was tons of glue left behind. It's not all that pretty in person. I'm not really sure what possessed me...

I'm glad to say that the pedals > Fender Twin combo rig sounded freaking KILLER this past Friday night at a gig. I'm totally satisfied with it right this second.

Have you tried the ZVez Box of Rock in your pedal search?

I've come close to picking one up, but never did. Do you have one?

No but I might get one here soon. There was a very interesting thread at TGP comparing the BOR to a cranked JTM45. A cranked JTM45 might not be most people's cup of tea, but if that pedal can really do it, I'd be willing to pay for that...

Right now I just have an OCD, which I like a lot.

Befre I started going to HCAF and Rig Talk (roughly 8 years ago) I had a Marshall Jubilee and a 1960 cab that I thought sounded great. Since then I have been through an insane amount of gear. I'm hopeful that the Triamp will cure my GAS for a long time to come.

Yeah, I saw that thread and heard those clips. They sounded GREAT! I dunno man... I had a Menatone King of the Britains and didn't care for it much. That's a highly respected pedal for getting that cranked Super Lead tone, but it sounded pretty wimpy compared to my other pedals through the Twin. I'm afraid to try the Box of Rock for that same reason.

I'll post if I get one. Maybe we can do a pedal pass-around....

That's the way I am leaning. I am not usually a fan of blue guitars but that color just does it for me. I think you have officially swayed me.

You can never have too many Echoplex...

Saw Chris' band this past saturday night. His tone was great! Nice and thick and defined. That Purple Plexi pedal is the shiznit! By the way Chris, I gigged saturday night with the switchblade and got some pretty cool stuff happening. It has a few little funky things going on but I was able to get some good tones out of it. Really versatile.

I had pretty minimal time to set the switchblade up but just starting from scratch I got a really nice fenderish clean tone, a good crunch tone ala ACDC/The Cult, a good jcm 800ish kind of thing and then a tone that wasn't completely unlike my 101b boosted blue channel. It's a bit more compressed than I like but cleaned up well with my guitar volume. I need to work with it a bit more as I found that if warms up even more with the master up and the individual channel volumes down a bit. The presets kind of suck in my opinion. Most of them are really bright and a bit sterile but if you turn down the presence and get the volume up it sounds pretty good!
