Bastards!!! I want one too! :gethim:  :gethim:

Ralph, I don't know how much output you want in your bridge pickup, but the El Prez in the bridge of my alder 50th Anni Deluxe sounds ridiculously awesome. It puts my other guitars to shame. The only guitar I have that sounds as unique is my Billy Bo. All I'm saying is, you know who to call.

Sup Brother!!
I thought about that hard actually and Id rather give our brother the $$$ then Duncan!!
Hell I'm such an idiot that I forgot that I have some of his P/u's already and I love them. I think I might just put one in this weekend!!

Hope all is well Shea!

Is the neck finished?

It looks pretty bare (and pasty). I'm thinking a few years of work will make that fretboard look like EVH's Frankie neck at some point.

I had mine set up a month or so ago and the guy oiled the neck and it gave it a very nice slight tint. I believe they are lightly oiled stock. Mine felt like bare wood when I got it.

What would be a good oil to keep on hand to rub the neck down with on occasion?

Birchwood-Casey Tru-oil, but any good quality gunstock oil will work. Clean the neck first. Use a small amount of Tru-oil, leave it on for 5 minutes, then wipe it off with a paper towel. After that, apply Birchwood-Casey Gunstock Wax.

With that said, you don't have to do it often. The wax/oil lasts a long time.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm willing to try anything and maybe I'll give the EVO2 a shot. With that said man o man is that tonezone bass heavy LMAO!!

I liked the feel of the output that the tonezone has but YES it is way too bass heavy. Replaced it with a JB and changed the volume pot to 250k and loved the change; that said I'm looking forward to hearing what pup you decide on.

I want a pickup that sounds killer dirty and that splits well for cleans

I don't really like the TZ pickup. I had one before and it did the same thing to my sound(added a ton of bass) I had to EQ the hell out of my main sound in order to dial out the bass coming from the pickup.

That pickup sounds like ass, you should look into a MCP, everyone loves them and gives thanks and praise.

Sounding like ass isn't such a bad thing you know. Everytime i fart it makes me laugh. I got bored tired of listening to plenty of bands from the 80's but my farts still sound new and exciting. :D

Are they all bass players?

I'm still loving my 2nd degree blackbelt. It was a bit bassy but after screwing around with the height I was able to dial it in perfectly...

And it crushed. Im really impressed with this guitar and as much as this pains me to say this.... It killed my Ash Bodied GMW so much so that the drummer from my band asked me to plug the Charvel back in after I switched it for the GMW lol. He noticed a huge tonal difference and so did I and to make matters even worse...even my girlfriend mentioned how the new guitar sounded better then my GMW LMAO. The GMW is great for VH type stuff but can be a bit shrill at times. The Alder body Charvel is just all around better sounding and it cuts like glass.
I have to thank Curt again for this guitar and special thanks To PsychoDave and DigitalJams for letting me hear there Charvels before I bought one from Curt!
That's awesome. I love hearing about people digging their new gear.

If it's any consolation my wife often gives her opinion on my amps/guitars. She didn't hesitate telling me my new Mahogany RG7620 looks like a coffee table.

It splits well enough for me. I don't need true single coil tone so i don't care if it's 100% accurate. I'm not sure if it's the PU or the guitar but i do love how the Drop Top sounds. My Suhr hasn't been getting any play time as of late. Ugh Oh. :D

You need a Yngwie or clone of one  You would rip on it with your vibrato and I love those pickups when you dig in.

If it's like the H2 then Im not sure I will like it. I actually do love the H3 though. The thing with the Andersons is that they use caps wired across all off their pickups which makes them sound insanely good when split. I really need to take a look at the electronics in My anderson to see what values they are using.

The H3 sounds incredible in my Alder body GMW Strathead  I think you'd love it in your new Charvel!

Just curious, where do you have your's set? I'm still screwing with the height on mine and would like to lose a little of the bottom.

I love my new Charvel. I can't imagine anyone not liking these guitars, particularly if you were a hard rock/metal fan in the 80's. I would sit around with my friends and drool over Charvel pictures in Metal Edge and Guitar World.

These guitars are like a broken-in baseball glove. It just felt comfortable right off the bat and this is coming from someone that has only played hardtail guitars for the last 20 years. I have had a blast messing with the trem, doing divebombs, etc. When I feel like playing something more standard, I just pick up my Les Paul.

I'd like another Charvel though. :)

I love that green slime!

GET MY NEW CHARVEL IN QUICK CURT!!!!!!!!
