:D I gotta admit I read that one as well. :)

I should have saved some of those old magazines.

Raplh, I seem to remember that I read somewhere that the TZ sounded really nice when wired in parallell. Maybe give that a try? :)

I wish I knew how to do this kind of stuff. I would try that if I had any clue how to do it before I swapped pups. Screw it. I have a cheap soldering iron and a partial free weekend. If I hose it up then off to the tech it goes!

I love my new Charvel. I can't imagine anyone not liking these guitars, particularly if you were a hard rock/metal fan in the 80's. I would sit around with my friends and drool over Charvel pictures in Metal Edge and Guitar World.

These guitars are like a broken-in baseball glove. It just felt comfortable right off the bat and this is coming from someone that has only played hardtail guitars for the last 20 years. I have had a blast messing with the trem, doing divebombs, etc. When I feel like playing something more standard, I just pick up my Les Paul.

I'd like another Charvel though. :)

did shipping in this cold weather effect the fret ends?

I want a yellow and purple, one of each

No Carl.

The necks are actually finished a bit more then the old charvels and the neck didn't shrink at all. With that said, that actually happened on my Wayne guitar and I had to file down the fret ends to match the shrinkage of the neck.

My first one came from dry ass Orange County to swamp ass CT and my neck went south pretty quick, just let it do it's thing and hit the truss rod and been solid since.

Let me just remind everyone at how kickass Curt is. My Charvel buying experience with him was definitely the fastest order/ship/play performance in my lifetime.

I can't take my cell phone into work so I was sitting out in my car during a break, with my VISA on the dashboard, ordering the guitar. Pretty hilarious scene for anyone trying to figure out what the hell I was doing.

Can't say enough about these guitars. I just played mine again tonight. It has been sitting in the gigbag for a few days. I pick it up, already in tune, and just jam. I have only adjusted one tuning wheel (E string) since I got the guitar weeks ago. I tuned it once when I took it out of the box, tightened the locking nut, and have barely had to touch it. Great geetar.
